Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World the movie finale is a 1998 direct-to-video sequel to the 1995 Disney film Pocahontas. The film is inspired by true events in the life of Pocahontas which took place years after her encounter with John Smith and the founders of Jamestown. While the original film dealt with her romance with John Smith, this film deals with her romance with the Englishman she would later marry in real life, John Rolfe.

All the returning characters from the first film retain their original voice actors with the exception of Captain John Smith who is voiced by Donal Gibson, the younger brother of Mel Gibson who voiced him in the first film.

Plot

Set years after the original film (circa 1610-1614), John Smith has been presumed dead in a plot by Governor Ratcliffe, the villain from the original film, to declare war against the Powhatan Nation back in the New World. In order to prevent such a happening, a young diplomat, John Rolfe, is sent to bring Chief Powhatan to King James for negotiations. In the New World, Pocahontas's old friend Nakoma seems to be married. Pocahontas is still mourning John Smith's death. She eventually decides to move on and buries his compass in the snow. A while later, John Rolfe's ship arrives. By now, civilians from England have settled in Jamestown and rush to meet the boat. Pocahontas curiously joins them. After an incident with a biased sailor, Pocahontas meets Rolfe, but they don't take a liking to each other. Pocahontas is offended that Rolfe sees the need to be in charge, and Rolfe does not like Pocahontas' independent spirit. Rolfe later overhears two women talking about Pocahontas preventing a war. Rolfe then assumes "Pocahontas" is the name of the Chief of the Powhatans.

That night at a dance in the Indian village, Rolfe intrudes with a gift of a horse for "The Mighty Pocahontas." When Pocahontas steps forward, Rolfe finds himself in an awkward situation: the stubborn Chief will not go to England, but unless an envoy is sent, war will break out. Pocahontas volunteers, despite Rolfe having doubts and a native saying bad disadvantages. Later that night, Pocahontas asks for advice from Grandmother Willow, who tells her to "listen to the spirit within."

The next day, Pocahontas sets off for England with Meeko, Flit, and Percy stowing away on the ship, and a bodyguard sent by the Chief (known as Uttamatomakkin). While on the ship, Pocahontas is nearly arrested by the captain as a stowaway, but Rolfe saves her. Then Rolfe and Pocahontas come to a truce, and perhaps this is where the first sparks of romance appear.

Plot synopsis

After his best student lost to Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) at the All Valley Tournament almost a year earlier, Sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove) proved himself a sadistic, sore loser. As a result, his students abandoned him following a physical altercation with Miyagi in the parking lot of the venue where the All-Valley Karate Championship featured in the first of the movie franchise.

The story picks up almost a year after the parking lot confrontation. The futures of Kreese and his Cobra Kai dojo appear bleak and uncertain, after it is revealed through phone messages that since Cobra Kai no longer has any students, the All-Valley Karate Tournament committee won't be including them in the upcoming competition, as well as a utility bill collector threatening to shut off service.

Plot

The movie starts with a dad checking on his two kids before school. Their family includes a girl (Beth), a boy (Brennan), an artist father (Richard), and a campaining mother (Sara), and a repulsive dog named Beethoven, who they are keeping for a relative family. The children love Beethoven, but their parents don't, and want to get rid of him. So the children begin taking the dog to Obedience Training led by a former army sargent. Brennan falls in love with a girl (Hayley), while Beethoven literally destroys the obstacle course in one day. Meanwhile, the rich Sedgwig family owns a pampered pup that looks excactly like Beethoven, named Michealangelo. Michealangelo and Young Madison Sedgwig are friends, but Busy Mr. and Mrs. Sedgwig are always neglecting her. In fact, Mr. Sedgwig is the only one who seems to try to play with her. Beethoven, meanwhile, runs after a loose hot dog cart, and ends up on a merry-go-round. Michealangelo has gotten loose and is now on the same merry-go-round. He is mistaken for Beethoven and taken home by Brennan and Beth.

Plot

The plot of It Takes Two revolves around when two young girls, who happen to look identical, meet unexpectedly. One of the girls, Amanda (played by Mary-Kate Olsen), is an orphan who is spending time in a camp and is about to be adopted by a family who she doesn't like. Amanda actually wants her case worker, Diane (Kirstie Alley), to adopt her instead. Diane would like the same thing but they will not let her on her salary. The other girl, Alyssa Callaway (played by Ashley Olsen), is a rich girl who arrived home from winning a trophy for her piano playing only to find that her father, Roger (Steve Guttenberg), is about to marry a woman, Clarice Kensington (Jane Sibbett), who is a demanding gold digger, and the anti-Diane, absolutely hating kids (and baseball, which Roger adores). The two girls plan a scheme to switch places for a little while and try to unite Diane and Roger. When Clarice starts to find out about the relationship that is forming between Diane and Roger, she moves the wedding date up. The girls must then take quick action. Finally, at the wedding of Roger and Clarice, Roger decides that he can't marry Clarice because he really loves Diane.

Synopsis

The movie begins in Manhattan, New York, where the Cheetah Girls are performing "The Party's Just Begun" at a Graduation Party for the Manhattan Magnet's Class of 2006. . Aqua sees a shooting star later that night and then she and the rest of the girls find an ad for a Barcelona music festival. Galleria enters the Cheetah Girls and the next day, Dorethea, Juanita, and The Cheetah Girls all travel to at Luc's Spanish villa. Everyone except Chanel thinks that Luc is the perfect man for her mom, but she refuses to let him into the family. The Cheetahs have just completed their junior year. Chanel's mother, Juanita, is planning a trip to her boyfriend Luc's villa in Barcelona, Spain and wants the Cheetahs to accompany her for a month of their summer break. Chanel is bummed and does not want to see Luc but the other girls are excited to explore Barcelona after the girls shopping spree ends, they meet Angel, a mysterious guitar player who accompanies them around Barcelona. ("Strut") The girls audition for the festival and earn a spot. Then they meet Joaquin, a handsome dancer with a crush on Dorinda. Joaquin takes the Cheetahs to the Dancing Cat, a Spanish night club where all the new artists perform their songs. There they meet Spanish pop artist Marisol (Belinda), who will also compete in the Music Festival, and her manager/mother, Lola. ("Why Wait") Lola plans a scheme to break up the Cheetah Girls, as they pose a threat to her daughter's chances in the competition, and she invites Chanel to sing with Marisol.

Galleria notices that everyone is getting involved in other activities except for her – Aqua designs clothes with Dortheia, Chanel sings with Marisol and Dorinda spends all her extra time with Joaquin. Galleria decides to return to New York because she's the only one focused on the competition. ("It's Over") While at a train station, the other three girls find Galleria and sing the starting sequence of "Amigas Cheetahs", the song she wrote. Galleria says she will only come back if they stay focused. They perform a song to show just how focused they are. ("Step Up")

Meanwhile, Juanita believes that Luc doesn't want to marry her because Chanel doesn't like him. Luc later proposes to Juanita after Chanel gives her permission and she gladly accepts. Luc tells Chanel that she can stay in New York with her friends for her upcoming senior year. However, the Cheetah Girls' dreams are in serious trouble. While they were performing Step Up, Lola convinces the Dancing Cat's manager to pay the Cheetah Girls money. The competition will only allow amateur performs to compete. Accepting payment from the Dancing Cat makes the Cheetah Girls professional performers. Angel, who was present during the entire exchange, investigates. He informs his uncle, the Festival Director, that Lola tried to sabotage the Cheetahs, and his uncle reinstates the girls as the cheetah girls. Lola tries to dispute, but the Director will not hear it. Marisol finally tells off her mother, saying she feels she's no longer in it because she loves to sing, but because her mother is desperate to make her a star. The Cheetah Girls perform "Amigas Cheetahs," and as a surprise, bring Marisol onto the stage, along with Joaquin's dancing crew and Angel on the guitar. Their song is a hit with the crowd.

In the film Mary-Kate and Ashley play twins with opposing personalities who have a series of misadventures around the city of New York. The plot to the film is very similar to that of the twins' more recent movies involving criminals plots and new love interests.

Plot

The story follows twin sisters Jane and Roxy Ryan, two twins with opposing personalities. Jane (Ashley Olsen) is an academic obsessed with order and planning, while Roxy (Mary-Kate Olsen) is a school truant who is only interested in rock music and her band, in which she is the drummer. The plot of the film happens over the course of one day. Jane's goal is to get to Columbia University in New York City in order to make a presentation at a scholarship competition. Roxy's goal is to skip school and attend the production of a Simple Plan music video, which also happens to be taking place in New York; however, she is followed by truancy officer Max Lomax (Eugene Levy). Due to a series of unfortunate incidents, the twins become involved with a piracy ring and must avoid both Lomax and this criminal gang and still make it to the University on time to make the speech. Through the series of misadventures, the twins come to realize that they have been allowing their relationship to drift apart and that they need to make greater effort to do things together.

First Daughter is a romantic comedy film released by 20th Century Fox in 2004 (see 2004 in film). It stars Katie Holmes as Samantha Mackenzie, a Presidential daughter who enrolls at a college and develops a relationship with another student at the college played by Marc Blucas. The film follows Samantha as she is given a new sense of freedom during her time away from the White House, and the advantages and disadvantages of her college life and education. It co-stars Michael Keaton as the President of the United States and Amerie as Samantha's roommate.

The film was directed by Forest Whitaker, written by Jessica Bendinger, Kate Kondell and Jerry O'Connell and produced by John Davis. Whitaker likened First Daughter to a fairy tale, characterising it as "the story of a princess who leaves the 'castle' [the White House] to go out in the world to discover who and what she is."[1] The film languished in development hell for several years, and was further delayed even after its completion. It was not a commercial success upon its eventual release, and reviews criticised its bland storyline, the cloying direction, and an unconvincing performance from Katie Holmes.

Facing the Giants is a 2006 American drama film. The film was directed and starred by Alex Kendrick. The cast was made up of volunteers from a local church. The actors included Shannen Fields, James Blackwell, Bailey Cave, and Tracy Goode.

The film was not well-received by critics, earning a 13% approval rating at Rotten Tomatoes and a 38/100 score at Metacritic. The film's MPAA rating decision received some controversy from Christian groups, lawmakers, and producers. The plot follows a classic underdog story about American football with an evangelical Christian worldview

Coach Grant Taylor at Shiloh Christian Academy has never had a winning football season. His car breaks down frequently, his house is falling down around him, and he and his wife are unable to have children. When he overhears school parents plotting to have him fired, he reaches a crisis point and prays. The turning point for Coach Taylor is shortly after an intensive time of prayer. An older man who walks the halls of the school praying for the students shows up unexpectedly in the coach's office with a message of encouragement. The timing of that message overcomes the Coach's reluctance to change focus.

A sub-plot involves a short weak boy, David Childers (Bailey Cave), who hopes to play soccer despite the fact his school only offers football. His paraplegic father encourages him to play football only as a kicker, and David is at first reluctant. David's best kick is barely 35 yards. In the end, David is called upon to kick a field goal 51 yards. His father (Steve Williams) tries to stand, holding onto a gate, and saying a small prayer. David kicks the ball high and a sudden, strong wind pushes the ball, making David score successfully and his team wins.

Another sub-plot involves a rebellious but talented transfer student, Matt Prater (James Blackwell). His father hopes for a football scholarship for his son, but the son constantly disrespects and disregards his father. After the entire school experiences a revival, Matt feels the need to address his father during the school day. Coach Taylor provides the needed ride to Matt's father's office, and Matt apologizes to his father for poor behavior. A business associate (David Nixon) of the boy's father then contributes, "I'd give my right arm to hear my son say that to me."

Interaction between assistant coaches Brady Owens (Tracy Goode) and J.T. Hawkins, Jr. (Chris Willis) provides comic relief, in contrast to stereotypical black/white strife in Dixie. Brooke Taylor (Shannen Fields) wrestles with supporting her husband while facing continual disappointment in childbearing. This supplies both poignant and comedic moments.

Plot

Winnie the Pooh and his friends hear a strange noise and find a set of large, perfectly circular footprints in the Hundred Acre Wood. They jump to the conclusion that the noise and prints are from a heffalump, and Rabbit organizes an expedition to go try to catch it; but Roo is told to stay behind, as everyone believes the expedition is too dangerous for one as young as he.

Roo slips out on his own in search of the heffalump, and soon finds it -- quite by accident. "It" is a playful young four-footed creature named Heffridge Trumpler Brompet Heffalump IV (nicknamed "Lumpy"), colored lavender and having a Southern English accent and a trunk like an elephant, but being not much larger than Roo. Roo is afraid at first but the two quickly make friends and play. Roo asks Lumpy to come home with him to meet all of Roo's friends; Lumpy is afraid because of what he thinks they might be like, but Roo reassures him and they return to the Hundred Acre Wood, which is deserted, as everyone else is still out searching for the heffalump.

The pair eventually meet up with the rest of Roo's friends, who are frightened and immediately try to "rescue" Roo and capture the Lumpy. Lumpy runs away; in running after him Roo ends up in a tight spot, and it's up to Lumpy's mother to save Roo and show everyone that heffalumps are nice and not to be feared.

Kiki's Delivery Service (魔女の宅急便, Majo no Takkyūbin?, trans. "Witch's Delivery Service") is the fifth Studio Ghibli anime film, produced, written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki in 1989. It was the fourth theatrical released film from the studio. It was also the second feature film that Miyazaki did not originally write himself. The movie won the Animage Anime Grand Prix prize in 1989. The movie was based on Eiko Kadono's novel of the same name, which is the first in a series published by Fukuinkan Shoten originally in 1985. The film adapted only some of the episodes in the book; it ends at the end of summer while the book covers an entire year. The animation depicts the gulf that exists between independence and self-reliance in the hopes and spirit of common Japanese teenage girls.

Schoolhouse Rock! is a U.S. series of fifty-two educational short films featuring songs about schoolhouse topics, including grammar, science, economics, history, mathematics, and politics. Originally conceived by Thomas G. Yohe in 1972, the shorts were broadcast on the ABC television network in the U.S. between 1973 and 1986. They were then broadcast infrequently during the 1990s and 2000s with new shows created between 1993 and 1996.

Initially, Schoolhouse Rock! was played in between each ABC Saturday and Sunday Morning Children's program. Some shows were 27 minutes and others were 57 minutes. The shows would either end at 27 minutes after the hour or at 3 minutes before the hour. ABC ran this from 1972 until 1989. Beginning in 1989, ABC ran Schoolhouse Rock three times a week on Saturday mornings. Schoolhouse Rock uasually aired once at the end of The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show, a collection of Looney Tunes shorts, aired. In 2000, Schoolhouse Rock was dropped from ABC.

An additional short, I'm Gonna Send Your Vote To College, was created for the 30th anniversary video release.

Often viewed with nostalgia by members of both late Baby Boomers and Generation X, Schoolhouse Rock! has become part of American popular culture.

The word "rock" is something of a misnomer, as only a few of the songs are in rock format (e.g., "Elementary, My Dear" and the progressive rock-like "Little Twelvetoes"). The rest are either jazz (e.g., "I'm Just a Bill," "Figure Eight"), blues ("Naughty Number Nine"), or straight pop songs (e.g., "A Noun Is a Person, Place, or Thing," "Interjections!," "No More Kings").

In September 2006, Bratz Babyz: The Movie was released. The twin bratz babyz, Nita and Nora get ready to join Chloe, Jade, Sasha and Yasmin at the daycare center in the mall. Snappy, Nita's puppy jumps into Nora's bag while she isn't looking, and hurrying to keep up with Nita, she rushes out without knowing Snappy is in her bag. Once at the daycare center Snappy gets out and escapes into the mall. The babyz escape too and find Snappy has been dognapped by Duane, the mall bully. He wants $50 from the bratz babyz if they ever want to see Snappy again. They all have different ideas, and Jade, Chloe and Nora try to get Snappy back one way, and Sasha, Yasmin and Nita try to get her back another. When time starts to run out, they decide the only way to get $50 is for Nora to win it in the kareoke contest. The babyz learn to team up and overcome the bully, and get the puppy back. The collection was made up of a lot of dolls. First of all, in the regular Babyz collection, there were Babyz Lil' Dancers. These dolls danced when you clapped your hands, played music, tapped or snapped, or pressed the button on the stand. They also had a concert stage that played music from the movie. In Big Babyz, they had Dancing and Singing Karaoke Babyz. These dolls came with a Karaoke machine that played all 5 songs from the Babyz Movie. A redhead, green eyed skateboarding boy also was released, named Harvey. It was his first appearance. A video game of the movie was released for PC and GameBoy Advance (not yet released).

Short Circuit is a 1986 comedy science fiction film starring Ally Sheedy and Steve Guttenberg and directed by John Badham. Fisher Stevens, Austin Pendleton, and G. W. Bailey co-star, with Tim Blaney providing the voice of robot "Number 5".

The story revolves around an intelligent and sentient robot named "Number 5". The robot later takes the name "Johnny 5".

A sequel, Short Circuit 2, was released in 1988.

Plot

Number 5 is one of five prototype robots proposed for use by the US military, although the scientist mainly responsible for creating them, Dr. Newton Crosby (Steve Guttenberg), is more interested in peaceful uses of their artificial intelligence, like playing musical instruments. A demonstration is under way in the grounds of the company that makes them and other robots, Nova Laboratories, in Damon, Washington. After a lightning storm shuts down the presentation of the prototypes, a power surge hits Number 5 while it is recharging and alters its program, causing a malfunction. An associated accident causes it to be taken outside company grounds and it wanders off, unable to communicate and not knowing where it is.

Number 5 ends up at the home of animal-lover Stephanie Speck (Ally Sheedy) who initially thinks it's an extraterrestrial visitor, but then determines the robot to be built by Nova. She decides that the robot is sentient and subsequently tries to help it escape from its creators, who only see it as a very dangerous, expensive and wayward machine. At the same time, Number 5 develops an understanding about the value of life and, realizing that he himself is sentient, develops a fear of his militaristic programming and the disassembly that awaits him back at Nova, believing it to be the same as death for him.

There are several escapes made from a small army of armed guards and regular soldiers led by the head of security at Nova, Captain Skroeder (G.W. Bailey). He defies orders from Nova head Dr. Howard Marner and successfully destroys what he believed to be the wayward robot, though he does not realize it was only a copy and not the real thing. Number 5 (who renames himself "Johnny 5" after hearing the song "Who's Johnny?" throughout the movie) takes off to Montana with Stephanie and Newton, who has quit his job after siding with the robot.

The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking is a 1988 fantasy-adventure-musical film based on the books of the fictional character Pippi Longstocking, created by Swedish children's book author Astrid Lindgren (1907-2002). While the title suggests the movie is a continuation, it is in fact a remake of the original story. It was released in movie theaters worldwide in wide release in 13 languages by Columbia Pictures, and was directed by Ken Annakin a Disney Legend and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. The film was released on DVD in 2001.

After her father's ship is carried off by a sudden storm, the spunky Pippi Longstocking is stranded with her horse, Alfonso,and her pet monkey, Mr. Neilson, and takes up residence in the old family home, which is thought by neighborhood children to be haunted. Soon, two children, Tommy and his sister Anika, venture into the house only to meet up with Pippi. The three soon become friends and get into various adventures together, including cleaning the floor with scrubbing shoes, dodging the "splunks", going down a waterfall in barrels, and helping Pippi with the problem of having to go to an orphanage. Older children will probably get the most out of this movie.

The Aristocats is a 1970 animated feature produced and released by Walt Disney Productions. The twentieth animated feature in the Disney animated features canon, the story revolves around a family of aristocratic cats, and how an alley cat acquaintance helps them after a butler has kidnapped them to gain his mistress' fortune which was meant to go to them. It was originally released to theaters by Buena Vista Distribution on December 11, 1970. The title is a pun on the word aristocrats.

The film's basic idea - an animated romantic musical comedy about talking cats in France - had previously been used in the UPA animated feature Gay Purr-ee.

Set in Paris, France, in 1910, the story centers around a mother cat named Duchess and her three kittens: her daughter Marie, and her two sons Berlioz and Toulouse. The cats live in the mansion of retired opera singer Adelaide Bonfamille, along with her big-nosed butler Edgar. Also living on the estate are Frou-Frou (a horse) and Roquefort (a mouse who is a good friend of the cats).

Adelaide wants to settle her will with her lawyer Georges Hautecourt (a senile old man who denies his old age). Adelaide tells Georges that she wishes to leave her entire fortune to Edgar, but only after her cats reach "the end of their lifespans." Edgar overhears this plan through a speaking tube and is dismayed, as he worries that he will die before he is able to collect the inheritance (incorrectly assuming that the cats will each have nine full lifespans of twelve years, totalling 108 years). Therefore, he plots to eliminate the cats, therefore making himself the sole beneficiary.

That same evening, Edgar drops some sleeping pills in the cats' milk, putting them to sleep. After night falls, Edgar takes the sleeping cats in their travelling basket far away from home, hoping to drop them on the banks of a river near a farm. However, two farm dogs, Napoleon and Lafayette, hear Edgar approach. Believing him to be an intruder, the dogs attack him, biting him on the rear end. This causes him to drop the basket on the river bank. Edgar manages to escape, but is forced to leave his motorbike's sidecar, his prized hat, the basket, and his umbrella.

The NeverEnding Story III (1994) is the second sequel to the fantasy film The NeverEnding Story. It was directed by Peter MacDonald and starred Jason James Richter as Bastian Bux, Julie Cox as the Childlike Empress, Melody Kay as Nicole, and Jack Black as Slip. It is generally regarded by fans of the original movie (The NeverEnding Story) as the weakest installment of the series and is also the only movie in the series not based on material taken directly from Michael Ende's novel. The character Atreyu was noticeably absent, having been a major character in The NeverEnding Story and The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter.

In the U.S., the film was called The NeverEnding Story III: Escape From Fantasia.

The movie arrived late and had a very limited release in U.S. theaters in 1996 and arrived on VHS there the same year. The soundtrack, also, was not released in the U.S., but only in Japan on CD, and in limited quantities.

The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter (1990) is a sequel to the fantasy film The NeverEnding Story. It was directed by George T. Miller and starred Jonathan Brandis as Bastian Bux, Kenny Morrison as Atreyu, and Alexandra Johnes as The Childlike Empress.

This film used plot elements from Michael Ende's original novel The NeverEnding Story, but introduced a new storyline.

Storyline

Bastian Bux is having troubles at home; his father cannot relate to him and Bastian's fear of high places is hurting him on the swim team. Bastian flees from his problems to an old bookstore, when after picking up the NeverEnding Story book, he hears the Childlike Empress tell him that he is needed to save Fantasia.

Upon landing in Fantasia, he reunites with Atreyu and meets a new character, an anthropomorphic talking bird named Nimbly. Characters from the previous film, such as Falkor and Rock Eater, have minor roles in this film. Bastian now faces "the Emptiness", and he is soon manipulated by the evil sorceress Xayide and her magical army of mechanical giants. The sorceress has a sinister plan for Fantasia and the Childlike Empress, but much of the film involves her persuading Bastian to forget about his mission and instead make a series of silly wishes. Each wish that Bastian makes causes him to lose a memory, and when he loses all memories he will not remember Fantasia and the Emptiness will take over.

Meanwhile, Bastian's father is out looking for his son, finding little help from the police or the bookstore owner. He finds the NeverEnding Story book and is surprised to see his son's exploits unfolded on the page. Finally, Atreyu is able to persuade Bastian that the sorceress is evil, and to face a final battle where Bastian has only one wish (and only one memory - his father) left. He defeats Xayide by wishing for her to have a heart, and with the verbal encouragement of his father, is able to face his fear of heights by jumping off a high cliff.

Plot summary

Bastian (Barret Oliver) is a young boy and a frequent daydreamer, much to the dismay of his father (Gerald McRaney). Bastian's mother died early in his youth; his father is now raising Bastian alone. On his way to school he is spotted by three bullies, who throw him in a dumpster in an alley. When he emerges from the container, the bullies chase him again and he hides in a bookstore. He meets an old man , Mr. Koreander, reading a book. When Bastian asks to read the book ("The Neverending Story"), the man replies that the book is "not safe." Ignoring his warnings, Bastian borrows the book when Mr. Koreander is distracted by a telephone call - he does, however, leave a note promising to return it. He then heads for school, only to realize he is late for class. He heads upstairs to the school's large, abandoned upper floor, where he starts to read the book.

The Return of Jafar is a 1994 direct-to-video sequel to the 1992's Aladdin, produced by The Walt Disney Company. The movie was released on May 20, 1994 and serves as the origin of the Aladdin animated series. Another direct-to-video sequel, Aladdin and the King of Thieves, followed in 1996.

The movie centers on Jafar, the villain from Aladdin, trying to gain his revenge against Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, and the Sultan, and become the ruler of Agrabah.

It was the first Disney direct-to-video animated feature release, and is currently available on Special Edition DVD (with "Aladdin:" added to the title), with digitally restored picture and remastered sound.

This was the first and only Aladdin full-length production without the original voice of the Genie, Robin Williams. He was replaced by Dan Castellaneta, who also voiced the Genie in the animated series as well as in Kingdom Hearts. Castellaneta is perhaps most-known as the voice of Homer Simpson from the widely popular show The Simpsons. Williams returned as the Genie in Aladdin and the King of Thieves.

Plot

16-year-old Katherine "Katy" McLaughlin (Alison Lohman) has big dreams of administering her father's Wyoming horse ranch, but her father, Rob, (Tim McGraw) and mother, Nell, (Maria Bello) have other, larger plans for their daughter. Being a similar, independent spirit to Katy, Rob has a hard time understanding his daughter as she defies his authority to spend time with a stray mustang she named "Flicka" (the Swedish word for girl ). Meanwhile, Katy's older brother, Howard, detests living on his father's ranch and wants to go to college. Knowing that Rob wants him to inherit the ranch, Howard has a hard time telling his parents about his dream. After being convinced by his girlfriend, Miranda, and watching Katy suffer when Flicka is taken to the rodeo, Howard confesses that he doesn't want the ranch. When Katy comes down with a high fever after trying to save Flicka from a cougar attack, Rob and Nell wait and watch in hopes that the fever will break. Meanwhile, Rob believes that Flicka is so badly hurt, she'll have to be put down. When two of his fellow ranchers refuse to, knowing that Katy will hear the shot, Rob goes to shoot Flicka. After giving her father permission to shoot the horse, Katy awakes to what she thinks is the gunshot her father used to put Flicka down, but is really a gunshot he used to kill the mountain lion that attacked Flicka and Katy. Rob returns in the early morning with a badly wounded Flicka walking behind him. The next morning, Katy's fever breaks and she is surprised when her parents present her with Flicka, who's wound has now been bandaged up by the vet. Rob tells Katy that she'll have to take care of Flicka once she's well. Katy later learns that Rob typed up her school final that she had written out and sent it in so she could pass for the year. The film ends with Katy on Flicka and Rob on his horse, standing above a Wyoming revine.

Plot

It premiered on ABC as a special holiday movie in December 1992; it was a ratings smash hit, due to the Olsen twins' already skyrocketing popularity among American audiences outside of their Full House fame. It tells a story of young twin sisters who are going on an adventure to visit their grandmother. Unfortunately, the girls are kidnapped on their way by two people who claim to be "Santa's helpers". The girls eventually find out that they are really kidnapping them. Cynthia Geary plays the girls' mother, and Jerry Van Dyke and Rhea Perlman also co-star as two bandits on the run who get involved in the girls' adventure.

Bob Saget and Lori Loughlin have cameos in the movie as hosts of a local lottery game show. While chosen to appear in the movie because of their co-starring on Full House with the Olsen twins, their appearance was also ironic since Saget and Loughlin's Full House characters also hosted a TV program together.

Ben approaches less-than-scrupulous adoption agent Igor Peabody (Gilbert Gottfried) with his dilemma, and Igor presents Ben and Flo with a cute 7-year-old boy, Junior (Michael Oliver). However, Junior is hardly a model child; mean-spirited and incorrigible, the child leaves a path of serious destruction in his wake, and is even pen pals with Martin Beck (Michael Richards), a notorious serial killer. After the cat ends up in the hospital, the house catches on fire, and Junior displays his effective but unethical method for winning in Little League (involves hitting rival players in the crotch with a baseball bat), Ben is having serious doubts about Junior when Beck escapes from jail and decides to kidnap his faithful correspondent, along with Flo. While Ben first sees this as good riddance to his browbeating wife and the trouble making Junior, when he sees signs that Junior did value him as a father figure Ben undertakes a rescue mission to get Junior back from Beck.

The California Raisins are a fictional rhythm and blues musical group comprised of anthropomorphized raisins. Vocals were sung by musician Buddy Miles.

The concept was originally created for a 1987 commercial on behalf of the California Raisin Advisory Board when one of the writers, while trying to come up with an idea for a new raisin commercial, said, "We have tried everything but dancing raisins singing 'I Heard It Through the Grapevine'" (the 1968 Marvin Gaye song). To their surprise, the commercial became wildly popular, spawning future commercials, two TV specials (Meet the Raisins in 1988 and Raisins: Sold Out! in 1990), four studio albums, and a Saturday morning cartoon series, aptly titled The California Raisin Show. The Raisins also appeared in A Claymation Christmas Celebration in 1987, singing the classic Christmas carol, "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer". The Raisins ultimately gained individual names: A.C., Beebop (drums), Stretch (bass), and Red (piano).

The California Raisins are normally Claymation designed by the Emmy-Award winning studio of Will Vinton, but their cartoon series was cel animated. The artist responsible for the original design was Michael Brunsfeld.

The California Raisins reportedly grossed more in the year that was their heyday, 1988, than Californian farmers made selling raisins. This included a wide variety of merchandising, from toys to Raisins images on every conceivable medium: lunch boxes, notebooks, clothing, posters, etc. A California Raisins music album was also released, featuring classic Motown and rock 'n' roll standards. But perhaps one of the most memorable pieces of merchandise came in the form of small, non-poseable California Raisins figures. The Hardee's restaurant chain offered these as part of a promotion for their cinnamon raisin biscuits. Different collections were produced in 1987, 1988, 1991, and finally in 2001 for their new stylization. This latest incarnation can still be seen on the California Raisin Marketing Board website.

This is the fifth movie based on the Care Bears franchise, and marks the return of Harmony Bear from 1986's Care Bears Movie II: A New Generation, and the television series' "Great Race" episode. It is also Nelvana's last film to feature the Bears; another studio, Sabella Dern Entertainment, created the latest Care Bears movie, Oopsy Does It.

This is the only Care Bears movie to not feature any kind of villain and has only two non-Care Bear characters (Twinkers and Big Wish).

Happy Tree Friends, is a Flash cartoon series by Mondo Mini Shows, created by Kenn Navarro, Aubrey Ankrum, Rhode Montijo and Warren Graff. Since its debut the show has become a popular internet phenomenon and has won a cult following.

As indicated on the official site, the show is "not recommended for small children". Nonwithstanding the cute appearance of its characters, the show is extremely violent, with every episode featuring blood, gore, and violent deaths.

While the violence of these deaths is comparable to that of The Itchy & Scratchy Show (the short cartoon featured on The Simpsons), the portrayal of death in Happy Tree Friends is more graphic and articulate.[citation needed]

The show is nearly free of dialogue; however, when the characters do speak, their words are severely garbled. Though it is obvious what each character's reaction is, their words can barely be understood. The exceptions to this are Pop and Lumpy. They have garbled speech as well, but can actually be understood on most occasions. According to the website, the idea for Happy Tree Friends was conceived by Rhode Montijo when he drew a yellow rabbit, slightly resembling the character Cuddles, on a piece of paper and wrote "Resistance Is Futile" underneath it.

"Blue Harvest" is the first episode of the sixth season of the FOX series Family Guy, which originally aired on September 23, 2007.

The episode is a retelling of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, recasting the show's characters into Star Wars roles. For this purpose, and for the first time in the history of Family Guy, this episode runs an hour long with commercials (47 minutes for the DVD version). It was also made to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Star Wars franchise. The name "Blue Harvest" is a reference to the title of the film ruse used to ensure secrecy and disguise the actual 1981 - 1983 production of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

This episode drew 10.7 million viewers on its first showing, and earned the highest Nielsen rating of any Family Guy episode since the show returned to air in 2005, making it the second most-watched episode in the series behind "North by North Quahog" which garnered 11.9 million.

The film was finished on January 22, 2007. The first part of the film was debuted on Yahoo! Japan as streaming video to Yahoo! Premium members from 16 February to 19 February 2007. On March 3, 2007, the full length featured film had its theatrical premiere at Cinema Rise in Shibuya, Tokyo. The film consists of three segments: Ōkashō (桜花抄), Cosmonaut (コスモナウト), and Byōsoku 5 Senchimētoru (秒速5センチメートル), totaling about an hour of runtime. As in Shinkai's previous works, Tenmon composes for this film's soundtrack. The DVD was released on 19 July 2007.

Makoto Shinkai had expressed that, unlike his past works, there would be no fantasy or science fiction elements in this film. Instead, the feature film would attempt to present the real world from a different perspective. Makoto's film gives a realistic view of the struggles many face against, time, space, people, and love. The title 5 Centimeters Per Second comes from the speed at which cherry blossoms petals fall, petals being a metaphorical representation of humans, reminiscent of the slowness of life and how people often start together but slowly drift into their separate ways.

Sydney White (also known by the working title Sydney White and the Seven Dorks) is a 2007 film starring Amanda Bynes, Sara Paxton, and Matt Long.

After the success of Warner Bros.' 2004 hit A Cinderella Story, Universal Studios picked up this project. The film was shot on location in and around Orlando from February 14, 2007 to April 4, 2007. Filming locations included Rollins College, University High School (Orlando), and the University of Central Florida.

Bynes is excited about the project, proclaiming, "We're having the best time, hoping for the best. I think people will connect with the Snow White story, the college setting, the witch, the dorks, all of it. I like the idea that my character is condemned by the Kappas, which is something a lot of girls go through. Evil witches always hate 'the fairest of them all.' Plot

University freshman Sydney White (Amanda Bynes) has come to Southern Atlantic University to pledge her late mom's once-dignified sorority. The Spiderwick Chronicles is a 2008 film based on Holly Black and Tony Diterlizzi's bestselling children's book series of the same name. The Ghoulies films were a Gremlins-like horror-comedy film series in the 1980s and 1990s. The original Ghoulies (released in 1985) originated in 1983 under the title Beasties.

The Ghoulies films are thought to be Gremlins rip-offs, but Ghoulies actually started development before Gremlins. It was to be directed by Charles Band, with special effects by Stan Winston (the two had previously collaborated on Parasite). It ended up being directed by Luca Bercovici with special effects by John Carl Buechler and his company Mechanical and Makeup Imageries Inc.. Both the original film and its sequel (released in 1987) were made by Empire Pictures and given theatrical releases. The third film (which Buechler directed) and fourth film (which starred the lead actor of the original film) were released straight-to-video. Ghoulies and Ghoulies II were released as a double feature DVD from MGM Home Entertainment in 2004. Special features include theatrical trailers. Ghoulies IV was released on DVD in 2007 by Echo Bridge Home Entertainment. Ghoulies III: Ghoulies Go To College is the only film in the series that has not been released on DVD. Twelve minutes of footage was cut from Ghoulies to secure a PG-13 rating. Ghoulies 2 was also cut. Ghoulies also starred a young Mariska Hargitay, who went on to win an emmy for her performance on Law and Order Special Victims Unit.

Four Eyed Monsters is a 2005 film by Susan Buice and Arin Crumley. It roughly follows Buice and Crumley's real life relationship; the couple initially communicated only through artistic means because Arin was too shy to introduce himself to Susan.

The film was shot on MiniDV using the Panasonic AG-DVX100 in Brooklyn and Manhattan, New York, Framingham, Massachusetts and Johnson, Vermont. It was edited on Apple's Final Cut Pro editing software. It debuted on the festival circuit in January 2005 at the Slamdance Film Festival. After attending dozens of festivals, they started to have people request the film to screen in their area. They used a custom designed Google map which showed the zip codes with the largest number of people requesting the film. And in September 2006, they screened the film in six cities every week during the month. (footage of some of these September screenings can be seen in the rolling credits of the film) Due to all the success on the September screenings, they premiered theatrically on December 1, 2006 in New York City at the Cinema Village in Greenwich Village.

On June 8, 2007 the entire film was initially released on YouTube for one week, but this was extended until August 15. Buice and Crumley introduced the film, explaining that they were still in credit card debt from making Four Eyed Monsters. They gave a link to the website because the site had promised to give them one dollar for every new sign up, up to a 100,000 dollar total, through the link to help with this debt. As of 2007 they collected more than 48,000 dollars.

Plot

A shy videographer (Arin) and an uninspired artist working as a waitress (Susan) meet on the Internet and spark a relationship. Fed up with the usual dating game, the two decide to not communicate verbally, only through artistic means to see if they can make it work.

Plot

Ryan Flynn (Ryan Kelley) is a boy who doesn't speak, being scarred by the death of his father. An accident causes Ryan to be transported to what seems to be an alternate universe, called "The Dust Factory." In the Dust Factory, Ryan regains his voice and is reunited with his grandfather, whose Alzheimer's disease keeps him from communicating in the real world. Then Melanie comes into Ryan's life. Mel (Hayden Panettiere) is a tomboy who is always dressed in coats and scarves because "it's always winter." Ryan and Mel's relationship grows stronger and stronger throughout the film as Grandpa Randolph provides advice. Amidst the goings-on is the ringmaster, who tries to lure Mel away from Ryan and keep her from returning to her own world.

In the film, the Dust Factory is a sort of limbo between life and death. All three characters are in life-or-death situations which are gradually revealed in the film. The characters must all make the decision whether or not to cross over into the afterlife or hold on to their earthly existence. Their decision is symbolized by a daredevil stunt that they are required to perform in a circus-like surrounding.

It was again released to select theaters March 17, 2006, making it the first Dragon Ball movie to be released theatrically in the United States, with The Return of Cooler following. Following that, it had been released March 28, 2006 in North America on DVD.

Plot

The movie begins with Goku fighting in another Other World Tournament against Pikkon. At the same time, a teenage "psyche ogre" is guarding an evil-purification machine, but he is distracted with his heavy metal music. He accidentally doesn't pay attention and the machine gets too full and breaks, releasing all of the evil energy at once. As a result, on Earth, many of the dead have been brought back to life (including previous villains from the Dragon Ball Z series and movies, and some real life ones like Hitler), and Gohan and Videl are summoned to take care of them.

Bulma and the others gather the Dragon Balls, and summon Shenron. They wish for all the souls to return to the underworld, but Shenron informs them that he can send them back but there is nothing stopping them from coming back, and that something is wrong in the Other World and only King Yemma can solve the problem.

The Grand Kai then sends Goku and Pikkon to go to King Yemma and see what's going on. When they arrive, they find that the Other World has been changed into a colorful, weird world filled with colorful stones. King Yemma has been imprisoned in a barrier, and the teenager has been mutated by the spiritual waste into a big ugly monster named Janemba. Pikkon attempts to break the barrier, and Goku begins fighting the monster. The monster has strange powers that allow him to defy reality (such as creating a portal to punch through that leads right to Goku), and even as a Super Saiyan, Goku is losing. He then powers up to Super Saiyan 3 to defeat the monster.

Plot

The movie begins with a young boy on a distant planet frantically searching his current area, sword at the ready. Suddenly a loud noise alerts him that the thing he was searching for is behind him. However, it is too late to react as the young boy is smashed under the foot of a giant creature. Off in the distance, a villainous laugh can be heard.

The movie then cuts to Earth as a bank robbery is taking place. The bank robbers are getting away when Great Saiyaman, Gohan’s superhero alter ego, stops the car with his foot and smashes the front end flinging the felons out the car to confront Great Saiyaman II, Videl’s superhero alias. They apprehend the felons and turn them in to the police, all the while being spied on by some strange old man in the shadows. A short while later, they are summoned again from their school to rescue an old man who wants to commit suicide. When Gohan and Videl arrive on the scene, they discover that he is the same man who had been spying on them. After rescuing him, the old man introduces himself as Hoy and tells the two about the legendary warrior Tapion and that he needs their help in releasing him from the music box he is being held in, as the Earth would be endangered if he were not released. Gohan tries to open the box with his massive strength but to no avail. The old man tells them he knows of the Dragon Balls, and advises the couple to use them to open the box. They agree to bring the box to Bulma’s home first to see if there was another way to open the mysterious box, not knowing that Hoi had other plans on his mind.

The film opens with a group of strangely colored humanoids emerging from tanks in a laboratory. The scientists responsible for these creations are congratulated by their employer, Mr. Jaguar, who plans to make these "Bio-Humans" into the strongest fighters on Earth. Despite warnings from his cousin, Men-Men, Jaguar laughs maniacally as one of his not-yet-finished bio-humans wags his furry tail in his tank.

As Mr. Satan hasn't yet paid Android 18 the prize money she demanded for letting him beat her in the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament, she begins smashing Mr. Satan mansion up, particularly his undeserved prizes from the tournament. Mr. Satan, cowering, tries to tell 18 that he hasn't gotten the money yet, but she doesn't believe him, and continues to ransack his home. His screams of fright are heard by Krillin, Marron, Trunks, and Goten, who are waiting for 18.

Mr. Satan is visited by Men-Men, who claims to be the cousin of Mr. Satan's old martial arts rival, Jaguar. It seems that Jaguar is blackmailing Hercule into visiting his laboratory island to fight his bio-fighters. Hercule agrees, and departs with Men-Men, followed by 18, Trunks, and Goten.

Upon arriving, Mr. Satan is coldly greeted by Jaguar, who sets up a tournament for him to fight the bio-fighters, but when they demonstrate their incredible fighting abilities, they are more than which Mr. Satan can handle, Goten, Trunks, and 18 intervene. Goten and Trunks are then confronted by a familiar face: The Priest from Natade Village whom they met in the previous movie.

Sūpā Senshi wa Nemurenai?, lit. "Dragon Ball Z: The Dangerous Duo! Super-Warriors Never Rest"), is the tenth Dragon Ball Z movie. Released in Japan on March 12, 1994 between episodes 220 and 221. It is the sequel to Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan.

During the San Diego Comic Con, FUNimation announced that they will release this movie and Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan on Blu-ray High Definition format. Both will feature full HD 1080p resolution with digitally remastered animation, and an enhanced 5.1 surround mix. Both movies will be released on November 13, 2007.

The film opens with a Saiyan Space pod flying through space and crash-landing on Earth. The crash causes a small crater to appear, and a seriously injured, barely alive Super Saiyan crawls out: Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan. As the weather gets colder, Broly's power decreases, and he reverts back to his original Super Saiyan state, until he finally loses consciousness and turns back into a normal Saiyan. Water pours over, and freezes, trapping the sleeping Broly and preserving him.

Seven years later, Goten, Trunks and Videl are looking for the Dragon Balls because Videl wants to see Shenron. During their search, they find that there is a local village called Nataday that is ruled by a priest, who always seems to think that everything in the world is a curse. The residents of Natade village claim that they are usually terrorized by a monster, and their only source of help is the priest's preaching.

Goten, Trunks and Videl decide to make a plan to rid Natade Village of the monster by leaving food for it and hiding in a trunk next to it. However, Trunks and Goten's hunger gets the better of them and Trunks sneaks an apple, but Videl doesn't allow Goten to do so, eventually smacking him across the face and causing him to cry a lot. Goten moans and cries (actually pretending) while Videl attempts to apologize, until she finally gives in and hands him an apple.

Then, the monster appears, and turns out to be a dinosaur. After a battle, the dinosaur is killed and eaten by Goten, Trunks and Videl for dinner. The priest is then rejected by the villagers for not being a competent savior, and thrown out of the village. With Natade village now a peaceful place to live, Goten, Trunks and Videl depart to continue their Dragon Ball hunt.

However, unknown to them, Goten's earlier cries caused a mysterious shattering on a layer of ice, the same layer of ice which Broly was trapped in. Broly awoke in the ice due to Goten's crying (As it reminded him of Goku's crying, which Broly hated Goku for) and shatters the ice, enraged and a Super Saiyan.

Night time falls as Goten, Trunks and Videl fall asleep so they can continue their quest the next day to bring Shenron out. Early morning Videl is awaken by loud explosions in the distant and takes off flying to investigate the explosions by the nearby lake. Here Videl is confronted by a young man with white trousers, earrings, a red belt, no top, and blond hair: Broly in his regular Super Saiyan form.

The Comebacks spoofs such sports movies including Talladega Nights, Rocky Balboa, Remember the Titans, Radio, Miracle, Friday Night Lights, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Field of Dreams, Gridiron Gang, The Longest Yard, Stick It, Facing the Giants, Bend it Like Beckham, Invincible, We Are Marshall, Blue Crush, Drumline it also spoofs sporting events like the 2006 FIFA world cup and the Bill Buckner infamous error in the 1986 World Series just to name a few.

Coach Fields (David Koechner) is pathetic. He has the distinction of being the worst coach in the history of sports anyone can recall. A loser of enormous proportions, the incompetent and seemingly hopeless coach is convinced by fellow coach Freddie Wiseman (Carl Weathers) to return to the field for one last shot. Assuring his long suffering wife (Melora Hardin) that he will not ignore his family, Coach moves them to Plainfolk, Texas where he hopes to redeem himself and his reputation. Here he begins yet another attempt to improve his abysmal record - this time as the coach of the football team at Heartland State University. But he is saddled with a team of misfits - most of whom don't know the difference between a line of scrimmage and a line at the cafeteria. Although the team and townsfolk are leery of the newcomer's approach, the Coach uses his unorthodox methods to whip this group of rag-tags into shape - both on and off the field. While the audience follows their winding road to the playoffs, the film pokes fun at the clichés and conventions of other sports flicks. The film was written specifically for Black by Mike White and directed by Richard Linklater, who himself met about 300-500 out of the estimated 10,000 kids who auditioned. School of Rock features musical prodigies, as young as 10, and as old as 14, who play guitar, drums, and keyboard remarkably well, in addition to having real vocalists.

The film was very well-received by critics, gaining a 91% rating at Rotten Tomatoes. It was number 98 on Bravo's "100 Funniest Movies".

Plot

Dewey Finn (Jack Black), a flamboyant and hyperactive 29-year-old heavy metal/hard rock singer and guitarist, is kicked out of his band, "No Vacancy", by the rest of the members for his arrogance and frequent stage antics, which had just caused them to be thrown out of the club they were performing at the previous night. His roommate Ned Schneebly (Mike White), a former rock musician who had left his past behind and became a substitute teacher, threatens Dewey with eviction under heavy pressure from Ned's overbearing girlfriend Patty (Sarah Silverman) unless Dewey "gets a real job" and pays his rent debt of $2,200. Ned suggests selling one of his guitars instead, but Dewey is disdainful of this idea ("Would you tell Picasso to sell one of his guitars?"). Dewey feels forced to give up his passion until he intercepts a phone call to Ned from the principal (Joan Cusack) of Horace Green Elementary, a highly prestigious prep school, asking Ned to fill in for a teacher who had been in an accident and would be out for several weeks. Dewey gets the idea to impersonate his roommate and take the job as a substitute teacher for the fifth-grade class.

Dewey's only goal as a teacher is to expend as little effort as possible. However, one day he overhears the kids playing in music class and realizes that some of the kids in the class have musical talent. He decides to turn his temporary job into what he tells them is a special school project, but is actually a personal one: to turn a classroom full of kids into a rock band and crew, complete with a ten-year-old manager (played by Miranda Cosgrove) which will serve as a vehicle to stardom, ultimately to win the upcoming "Battle of the Bands," where he is out to avenge his eviction from his old band.

After realizing that most of the kids are into pop and contemporary music, Dewey turns the school days into lessons of rock history and music playing, exposing his students to those artists he regards as rock legends. Five rock stars are featured with classic footage in the movie: Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townshend, Angus Young, Keith Moon and Kurt Cobain. In addition, during a montage, the drummer, Freddy, is seen watching footage of the famous drum battle between Buddy Rich and Ed Shaughnessy.

Rollerball is a 1975 science fiction film directed by Norman Jewison from a screenplay by William Harrison, who adapted his own short story "Roller Ball Murder", which first appeared in 1973 in Esquire magazine.

The game

In the film, the world of 2018 is a global corporate state, containing entities such as the Energy Corporation, a global energy monopoly based in Houston which deals with nominally-peer corporations controlling access to all Transport, Luxury, Housing and Food on a global basis.

The film's title is the name of a violent, internationally popular sport around which the events of the film take place. It is similar to Roller Derby in that two teams clad in body armor skate on roller skates around a banked, circular track. There, however, the similarity ends. The object of the game is to score points by the offensive team (the team in possession of the ball) throwing a softball-sized steel ball into the goal, which is a cone-shaped area inset into the wall of the arena. The team without possession of the ball is defensive and acts to prevent scoring. It is a full-contact sport in which players have considerable leeway to attack opposing players in order to take or maintain possession of the ball and to score points; in fact, in this overpopulated future, the object of the game in the original short story is to kill off the players. In addition, each team has three players who ride motorcycles to which teammates can latch on and be towed. The player in possession of the ball must hold it in plain view at all times.

Rollerball teams, named after the cities in which they are based, are owned by the various global corporations. Energy Corporation sponsors the Houston team. The game is a substitute for all current team sports and for war. While its ostensible purpose is entertainment, it also serves to demonstrate a valuable lesson: the individual athletes pale in importance to the team itself (evident in the fact that only their numbers appear on their uniforms, and not their names), just as the individual is meaningless compared with the corporation-centered society, which is paramount. Or, as Mr. Bartholomew puts it, it is a sport designed to show the futility of individual effort.

The Plague Dogs is a 1982 animated film based on the 1977 novel of the same name by Richard Adams. The film was written for screen, directed and produced by Martin Rosen, who also directed Watership Down, the film version of another novel by Adams.

The film's story is centered on two dogs named Rowf and Snitter, who escape from a research laboratory in Great Britain. In the process of telling the story, the film highlights the cruelty of performing vivisection and animal research for its own sake (though Martin Rosen said that this was not an anti-vivisection film, but an adventure), an idea that was only recently coming to public attention during the 1960s and 1970s.

The theme song, Time and Tide, was composed and sung by Alan Price. The song, as well as dialogue from the film, was sampled by the Canadian industrial group Skinny Puppy for their single, "Testure", from the 1988 album VIVIsectVI.

Plot

Although using hand-drawn animation, the story doesn't shy away from depicting the violence and cruelty the dogs encounter throughout the story.

Rowf (a labrador-mix) and Snitter (a smooth fox terrier) are two of many dogs used for experimental purposes at an animal research facility in the Lake District of north-western England. Eager to escape the tortures of life inside the facility, an escape is managed. Initially relieved and eager to experience their new freedom the dogs are soon faced, not only with the realities of life in the wild, but with another more terrifying realization — they are being hunted by their former captors.

It was released under the Stan Lee Presents banner, which is a series of direct-to-DVD animated films distributed by POW Entertainment with Anchor Bay Entertainment. The story was by Stan Lee, with the script by former X-Men writer Scott Lobdell.
Plot

It is the story of an aspiring young actress named Maggie (Paquin) who gains chameleon-like powers after she is exposed to an electrical storm and a magic rune. Her powers are from a secret and ancient race called the Chameliel, who are able to hide in plain sight due to their shape shifting abilities. Maggie and a Chamelial named Mosaic (Morrow) must battle another Chameliel named Maniken who is intent on gaining the power of his dead wife and ruling the world.[1][2]

They go from New York, to Rome, to the North Pole, trying to stop Maniken from stealing the precious Chameleon stones and sacrificing her father, an Interpol agent, in a ceremony that will grant him the power of a god. During the battle, it is revealed the Mosaic is Maniken's son who volunteered to go after his father and stop him. They both tumbled into an icy gorge, never to rise again. Maggie then sneaks aboard an Interpol copter, overhearing her dad vowing to destroy all Chameliel. Upon returning home, she vows to search for the remaining Chameleon stones as the new Mosaic.

Mosaic was released on DVD on January 9, 2007, and had its television premiere on March 10, 2007, on Cartoon Network's Toonami.

Synopsis

In an enchanted forest, a unicorn (Mia Farrow) realizes that she is the last of her kind and decides she must embark on a quest to learn what has become of the other unicorns. The Unicorn discovers from the addled dialogue of a butterfly (Robert Klein) that something known as the Red Bull has herded all of her kind to the ends of the earth. Venturing into unfamiliar territory beyond the safety of her forest home, she begins a journey to find them and bring them back.

Along the way she is captured for a time by the witch Mommy Fortuna (Angela Lansbury), and is put on display in the cages of the witch's Midnight Carnival. She escapes with the help of an incompetent magician in Fortuna's employ, Schmendrick (Alan Arkin), and later gains a second traveling companion, Molly Grue (Tammy Grimes), the care-worn lover of Captain Cully (Keenan Wynn) of Greenwood Forest, after the latter nearly kills Schmendrick and ties him to a tree until the Unicorn returns to save him.

When the Unicorn nears the seaside castle of King Haggard (Christopher Lee), supposed keeper of the Red Bull, she comes face to face with the Bull and learns she cannot defeat him. At the last moment before her final surrender and capture, Schmendrick's unpredictable magic transforms her into a mortal woman. In this human guise, the Red Bull is uninterested in her and departs.

Schmendrick, Molly Grue, and the Unicorn (now in human form) proceed to Haggard's castle and seek entry. King Haggard is at first unwelcoming, and Schmendrick introduces the Unicorn only as Lady Amalthea. Schmendrick requests that the three of them stay there as members of Haggard's court, only to be told that all of the royal complement has long since been dispatched: the only remaining occupants in the castle are Haggard, his adopted son Prince Lir (Jeff Bridges), and four ancient men-at-arms. Haggard consents to lodging the trio, replacing his more competent on-call wizard with Schmendrick, and setting Molly Grue to work in his scullery.

Plot

Michael Baskin is an average 11-year old boy. His father, Billy Baskin, is a struggling artist and temporary sole caregiver of the children while his wife attends to the needs of her recently deceased father in Australia. Upon hearing the news that an abandoned mansion has recently burned down, Michael and his friend Connie decide to explore the remains. Outside the mansion, Connie dares Michael to take a look inside, leading to a frightening encounter with the ghosts of its homeless inhabitants whom had died in the fire. Michael does not know this yet, but his fearsome run in with the ghosts has given him a mysterious illness simply known as "The Fright". Michael wakes up the next morning to find out that "The Fright" has made him lose all of his hair. After a few failed attempts with wigs, the ghosts visit Michael in his sleep and give him the recipe of a magical formula for hair growth, whose main ingredient is peanut butter. The ghosts also give Michael special instruction not to add too much peanut butter, as it will end in dreadful results. Michael ignores their plea, and wakes up the next morning to find that his new hair has already began to grow. Only after a few minutes, Michael has grown a full head of hair. Suspicious of his fast growing follicles, Connie confronts Michael about his unusual ability. When Michael reveals to him his concoction, Connie decides to apply some of it on his genitals. Pretty soon, Michael and Connie's hair grows to such a length that it has become a nuisance for the school and their classmates, resulting in their suspension. While Michael franticly searches for a solution, Connie discovers that the hair will stop growing by yelling at it. The art teacher at Michael's school, simply called the Signor, frightens children and forbids them from using their imagination. After getting fired from the school, the Signor finds out about Michael's condition and kidnaps him (and many other neighborhood children) to make magic paint brushes from Michael's ever-growing hair. The paintbrushes are so powerful that they paint whatever their user imagines. Connie and Michael's sister, Susan Allison Baskin, discover the Signor's magical paintbrush factory and trick the Signor into painting a picture of the abandoned mansion. Connie then dares him to investigate inside, leading "The Fright" to be passed on from Michael to the Signor, who later gets arrested.

Plot

It's the story of a rebellious street dancer named Andie, part of Baltimore's most intimidating dance crew, the 410, who is given a chance to attend the prestigious Maryland School of the Arts, the same school that Tyler Gage attended in the first movie. She finds it difficult to fit into her new school life while keeping her friends from the 410. Determined to prove her skills, she assembles an eclectic crew of classmates that includes Chase (Robert Hoffman), the schools best dancer, to compete against the 410 in the premier underground dance battle in Baltimore, The Streets.

Plot

Following a party, Mac (Damaine Radcliff), Skinny Carter (De'Shawn Washington) and their friend Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum) break into the Maryland School of Arts and damage many of the props in the school's theatre. When a security guard appears, Tyler helps the other two escape and accepts the blame. He is sentenced to 200 hours of community service, which he has to serve at the school. While working, he watches a dance class and meets Nora Clark (Jenna Dewan), a student preparing for her "senior showcase." The performance could determine if she gets a job with a dance company. Later, Tyler mockingly shows his friends some of the dance moves he learned while watching the school's ballet dancers, mixing them with break-dance and street dance moves.

Nora's dance partner sprains his ankle, leaving Nora without a partner. After auditioning some other students, she doesn't meet any who are good enough. Tyler offers to help, but she at first refuses. Eventually she changes her mind, having seen him dancing earlier, and convinces Director Gordon (Rachel Griffiths) to allow Tyler to rehearse with her. During their initial practice session, Tyler is antagonistic toward Nora as well as her boyfriend, both of whom respond with haughty attitudes. As they continue to rehearse, Nora and Tyler grow closer, each teaching the other about their respective styles of dance. Tyler also befriends a musician at the school named Miles, who has a crush on Nora's friend Lucy.

One day, Nora takes Tyler to a special spot on the waterfront, which is where she envisioned her routine. She tells Tyler she always imagined it would be with a large group, and Tyler helps her dream come true by recruiting younger dancers from the school to perform in her number.

Nora's boyfriend gets a recording deal with a company, but in doing so, dumps Miles to sign the deal. Nora then breaks up with her boyfriend after seeing his poor treatment of their friend.

Tyler asks Director Gordon if she will let him attend the school, and her response is that he must prove to her that he deserves a chance. Upon hearing this, Nora says the showcase can be his audition. Nora's dance partner returns, seemingly healed from his injury. Tyler feels that he is no longer needed in the routine, and angrily accuses Nora of treating him the same way her ex-boyfriend treated Miles. He leaves the group and Nora and goes back to janitorial work at the school.

Later on, Tyler's friend Skinny, who is also Mac's brother, is fatally shot while attempting to steal a car, prompting Mac and Tyler to realize that they need to make better choices in their lives.

Nora again loses her partner to an injury and decides to do her senior showcase solo. However, without a partner, the routine is not as good and she knows she will not be able to get accepted into any dance troupes. Stardust is a 2007 fantasy film directed by Matthew Vaughn. The film is based on Neil Gaiman's novel of the same name, illustrated by Charles Vess, originally published by DC Comics, and stars an ensemble cast including Claire Danes, Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Charlie Cox, Sienna Miller, Rupert Everett, Nathaniel Parker, Peter O'Toole, David Kelly, and Mark Heap. Narration is by Sir Ian McKellen.

Plot

Tristan Thorne (Charlie Cox) is the son of Dunstan Thorne and Una, a captive princess. The couple met only one night and fell in love instantly. Unfortunately, when Tristan was born, Una was not allowed to keep him and instead sent him to live with his father. She put in his basket a "Babylon candle", and a letter to Tristan explaining everything.

The story then jumps to Tristan as a young man, in love with the prettiest girl (Victoria) in a small English town (Wall Village). He is desperate to bring her a newly fallen star by her birthday. He uses the candle to fly to where the star landed, which is not in England but a magical land called Stormhold. But then he discovers that the star is not what he expected. It is actually a beautiful, young and spirited woman named Yvaine (Claire Danes). Despite this, Tristan is determined to marry Victoria and uses a silver chain that his father obtained after trying to free Una, to take Yvaine to England, promising to use the last of the magic candle to take her back to the sky afterwards.

However, Tristan is not the only one seeking the star. Yvaine is in terrible danger because the living sons of the King (Peter O'Toole) are looking for her, because only the jewel that she carries can secure the throne to one of them. Septimus, one of the princes, later finds out that a star's heart grants immortality and also tries to devour her heart so that he can rule the kingdom forever. Additionally, the three witches known as "The Lilim" — Mormo, Empusa and the eldest and the most powerful, Lamia (Michelle Pfeiffer) — want her because they want to recover their beauty and eternal youth.

As Tristan sets out to protect Yvaine and bring her back to his beloved at the other side of the wall, his journey will bring incredible encounters with a pirate Captain Shakespeare (Robert De Niro), and a shady trader (Ricky Gervais), among other surprises. Lots of things he never imagined happen, the most prominent of which is that he falls in love with Yvaine. Yvaine also falls in love with him, and confesses this to him after a fourth witch turns him into a mouse, not realizing that he can still understand her.

After being converted back into a human, he is too woozy to continue the journey, and the two stop at an inn together. Tristan tells Yvaine that he returns her love. While Yvaine sleeps, Tristan cuts a piece of her hair and goes back to England to tell Victoria that he no longer loves her. When he tries to give Victoria the hair however, he finds that it has turned into stardust, or rock. He realizes that Yvaine cannot enter England and stay in human form and hurries back to the other side of the wall to find her.

Unfortunately, he arrives too late. Yvaine and Una were both captured by Lamia and taken back to The Lilim's castle, Yvaine to be killed and Una to be a servant. Tristan, with the help of Septimus, manages to defeat Mormo and Empusa, however Lamia kills Septimus and Tristan is forced to fight the prince's animated corpse. Lamia nearly kills Tristan, however Yvaine, now armed with the knowledge that Tristan really loves her, is able to unleash a powerful wave of light that disintegrates Lamia. Tristan picks up the magic necklace and becomes the next king of the land (Una was the king's daughter, making Tristan the last male heir). He becomes king with Yvaine at his side as queen. It is implied that the two will live forever, since Yvaine "gave" him her heart when she fell in love with him. After several generations pass, the two lovers use another Babylon candle that Una gives them to return to the sky, where they become twin stars.

Plot

Nancy is a divorced mother, who is too busy taking care of her three children to take care of herself. Nancy was previously married to James Jizzy, a hip hop artist. Her youngest daughter Emily overhears her mother say that she wished for a compliment from a man, and the daughter tells a Santa Claus about her mother's wish. The Santa Claus turns out to be a man named Benjamin. Benjamin is also interested in the music industry and gives James Jizzy his recording track of a Christmas album at the beginning of the movie. While playing the part of Santa Claus, Benjamin notices Nancy. When out of character of his Santa role, Benjamin and his friend follow Nancy to a Starbucks, which is next to a cleaners to carry out a plot to win Nancy's heart. Nancy is also interested in Benjamin, and follows him to a store, where they both meet. Afterwards, both date. Nancy's oldest son, John-John is jealous of Benjamin going out with his mother and devises plots to break the relationship up. Queen Latifah and Terrence Howard both play omniscient roles in the movie. Howard is the mischievous angel, named "Bah Humbug", while Latifah is the kind, thoughtful angel, commonly referred to as "Mother Christmas"

In the film Mary-Kate and Ashley play twins with opposing personalities who have a series of misadventures around the city of New York. The plot to the film is very similar to that of the twins' more recent movies involving criminals plots and new love interests.

Plot

The story follows twin sisters Jane and Roxy Ryan, two twins with opposing personalities. Jane (Ashley Olsen) is academic obsessed with order and planning, while Roxy (Mary-Kate Olsen) is a school truant who is only interested in rock music and her band, in which she is the drummer. The plot of the film happens over the course of one day. Jane's goal is to get to Columbia University in New York City in order to make a presentation at a scholarship competition. Roxy's goal is to skip school and attend the production of a Simple Plan music video, which also happens to be taking place in New York; however, she is followed by truancy officer Max Lomax (Eugene Levy). Due to a series of unfortunate incidents, the twins become involved with a piracy ring and must avoid both Lomax and this criminal gang and still make it to the University on time to make the speech. Through the series of misadventures, the twins come to realize that they have been allowing their relationship to drift apart and that they need to make greater effort to do things together.

Synopsis

Helena is a girl who works at the family circus with her father and mother. One night she gets into an argument with her mother, Joanna, for Helena wants to "run away and join real life". When her exasperated mother says, "You're going to be the death of me," Helena sharply replies, "I wish I was." During that night's show, Joanna collapses and is sent to the hospital. Ten days later, Helena learns from her father that Joanna has to undergo an operation. Helena blames herself.

The night of the operation, Helena wakes up after a strange dream and sneaks out of the family apartment to see a masked man playing a violin. Nearby are two other masked men who are trying to juggle. Suddenly a shadow "consumes" the violin player, and Helena flees from the danger with one of the other masked men, who introduces himself as Valentine.

Valentine leads Helena to the City of Light, where they see many unusual citizens leaving the city because of the Shadows that are consuming it. Helena is mistaken by the royal guards as a "Princess", and she is forcefully taken to the Palace of Light. At one point during her transportation, Helena looks into a house window and sees herself sleeping in her room, which makes her believe that she is still dreaming.

At the palace, she meets the Prime Minister, who can see that she is not the "Princess". The Prime Minister explains that there are two kingdoms: the City of Light and the Land of Shadow, both of which have their own queens. Three days prior, the Princess from the Land of Shadow arrived at the City of Light. Despite a warm welcome, the Princess stole their "charm" and fled in secret, leaving the White Queen in an unnatural sleep and the City of Light vulnerable to the Shadows. Helena decides to help them find the charm.

Recruiting a reluctant Valentine, Helena starts following clues throughout the city to find the charm, which she learns is the "MirrorMask". All the while, the pair have to elude the Shadows and other dangerous creatures. Unknown to Helena, the Dark Queen is also hunting her, thinking that she is the Princess who has run away.

At certain points, Helena looks into other windows, and instead of seeing herself asleep as she thought she would, she sees a doppelganger arguing with her father, smoking, and later making out with someone Helena disapproves of. When Helena yells through the window, the doppelganger "sees" her, prompting Helena to quickly hide.

Helena's search leads her to a small white building on the border between the City of Light and the Land of Shadow. Inside the building are hundreds of locks, one of which should reveal the Mirrormask. Before Helena can start trying the locks, she is betrayed by Valentine to the Dark Queen. Helena is hypnotized to think of herself as the Princess, and forgets her mission.

Valentine eventually has a change of heart, and secretly returns to the white building where he tries all the locks. He finds the right one, but is dismayed when its contents turn out to be a letter from the real Princess, announcing her theft of the MirrorMask. Valentine returns to the Dark Palace and apologizes to Helena, whom he helps remember who she is.

A recovered Helena and Valentine go into the Princess' room and discuss the information they have. Helena remembers that Joanna had always told her that when she's looking for something, it's very often staring at her right in the face. Helena looks at the Princess' mirror, and when she dips her face in it, the MirrorMask is revealed.

Helena and Valentine flee from the Dark Palace with the Dark Queen in pursuit. Helena now knows that the Princess has taken her place in the real world, and in order to set things right, she has to wear the MirrorMask and look at the Princess. It is also revealed the City of Light and Land of Shadows exist in Helena's drawings that are pasted on her room wall in the real world, and the Princess is methodically destroying these drawings.

Helena needs to find a window immediately, but the Princess destroys the last drawing and has apparently won. Standing on the apartment roof, the Princess throws the destroyed drawings in the air, but when she turns, the door slams shut to reveal another drawing on the door itself, and Helena waiting for her in it. Despite the Princess' protests, Helena puts the MirrorMask on.

Plot

For more than 200 years, the Owens women have been blamed for everything that has ever gone wrong in their town. It all began with their ancestor, Maria, who was accused of being a witch. The Craft has passed through every generation to sisters Frances (Stockard Channing) and Jet (Dianne Wiest), their nieces, Gillian (Kidman) and Sally (Bullock) and Sally's two daughters; the women in the family never give birth to boys. The Owens family is cursed: any man who falls in love with an Owens woman will die tragically. The women of the town are apprehensive of the Owens women and their lifestyle, viewing them as evil and connected to the Devil.

When Sally was a child, she so despaired of falling victim to the curse, she cast a spell that would protect her from ever falling in love. She chose nearly impossible traits in a man, confident she'd never meet someone who would meet them perfectly. The grownup Sally is desperate for a 'normal' life. She falls in love with the produce merchant Michael, due to a spell cast by her aunts, and marries him, in spite of the curse. Sally truly falls in love with Michael. Sadly, yet not unexpectedly, Michael meets a tragic end, leaving Sally grieving and disillusioned with magic. She comes home to her aunts with her two daughters.

Gillian, impatient with life in a small town, moves away. She meets Jimmy (played by Goran Višnjić), who eventually turns abusive. Gillian calls Sally for help and when Sally arrives, Jimmy kidnaps them both. Sally puts belladonna, a poison, into Jimmy's tequila to knock him out, but uses too much and accidentally kills him. The panicked sisters try to resurrect him using a forbidden spell from their aunts' book of magic; a spell so dark the Aunts refused to use it to bring back Sally's dead husband, fearing he would come back as something perverse and unnatural. These fears are confirmed when Jimmy returns, as evil and cruel as ever. Sally is forced to kill Jimmy a second time, this time hitting him on the head with a frying pan.

His soul is restless and soon begins to haunt the sisters. The aunts find it necessary to leave for a while, Sally and Gillian are left to deal with Jimmy. The aunts give Sally's daughters necklaces to protect them from Jimmy. Officer Gary Hallett (Aidan Quinn) comes looking for Jimmy, as he is under suspicion for the disappearance of his last girlfirend, and that leads him to Gillian and Sally. He, it turns out, is the man that Sally had cast a spell for when she was a little girl. She falls in love with Gary, and he returns the love.

Jimmy's haunting goes as far as growing roses over his grave and leaving a residue of frogs. He then possesses Gillian. Frances and Jet return to the house seeing that they came back at the wrong time. They decide that they'll need to dispossess Gillian, but will need a coven of witches (Nine, or Twelve at the most). Sally recruits the women of their village and they come to her aid, along with bringing broomsticks.

They begin the spell, but Sally sees that it is hurting Gillian. She breaks the circle and goes to help her sister, who is holding on, but Jimmy continues to take over. Sally then cuts her hand and Gillian's like they had done before to always keep them together. Sally grabs Gillian's hand and the witches continue their chant. The spell causes a blinding light to explode from Gillian and releases Jimmy's soul, which turns to dust. The women begin to sweep the remains out of the house. Then, Sally and Gillian pour the Banishing potion onto his grave, banishing his soul forever. The participation of the town women, coming together to help the sisters, breaks the curse on the Owens women, set by their ancestor.

As Sally realizes there is no longer a curse, she "summons" Gary, knowing he can hear her "calling from a mile away," and as he had left until she worked things, he returns, and they kiss, much to the happiness of all the Owens.

The Owens women come out onto their roof on Halloween and "come out" to their village as being witches. They use umbrellas and float down from the roof onto the ground. The villagers welcome and embrace the Owens women and their Craft, as we see Sally finally accepting herself and her future with Gary, her little girls, her sister and aunts and lots of new friends.

Two Brothers

Two Brothers is a 2004 France/United Kingdom adventure/family film directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud.

Plot Summary

Set in 1930s Cambodia, two tigers were separated as cubs, after the ancient temple in which they were living was disturbed by Aidan McRory.

McRory, an unscrupulous explorer, big-game hunter and temple looter, kills the cubs' father. One of the cubs, Kumal, is immediately recovered by McRory and sold to a circus.

The other, Sangha, remains in the jungle with his mother, but both are eventually trapped (by McRory) and released as game for a vain Khmer prince to hunt. The mother is then shot in the ear, thought to be dead for a moment before running away, and Sangha is taken into captivity, ends up as a pet to young Raoul, son of the French administrator Normandin.

Kumal, meanwhile, is being trained by the cruel circus ringmaster Zerbino to do tricks, such as jumping through a flaming hoop. Sangha becomes too wild to remain in the French household, and he is made a part of the prince's palace menagerie.

Then the prince decides to hold a big festival, in which a battle between two great beasts - the brother tigers - is to be the centerpiece.

When placed in the cage together before the audience, the two brothers do not immediately recognise each other, and Kumal is afraid to fight. However, when the brothers do finally recognise each other, instead of fighting they begin to play together, much to the annoyance of the audience and the owners.

The trainer attempts to antagonise the tigers into fighting, but as he opens the cage, the tigers escape, managing to frighten the trainers and the audience into the cage themselves.

The two brothers escape, but are hunted by McRory. After escaping through a fire, McRory and Raoul find them. However, as McRory takes aim at one tiger, the other stands over McRory, seeming ready to attack. McRory puts down his gun and vows never to hunt again.

The two brothers make their way back to their temple home for a happy reunion.

The Pebble and the Penguin is a philosophic live-action/animation hybrid film, produced and directed by Timothy McKenzie and Gary Coleman. It was originally released in movie theatres in the USA in 2007 by Timbox Productions and was released internationally by Joe Cracker in 2008. John Williams provided the songs for the film. A few notable actors contributed to the film, including Baby Sinclair, Jay, and Silent Bob.

Plot

This is a deep philosophical film exploring mental retardation, featuring Timothy Robert "Tim Box" McKenzie, an insane Marylander, who is bullied by Nick "Captain Zechs" Hobbs for having 3 imaginary friends, actually characters from the 1995 Don Bluth film, The Pebble and the Penguin, Hubie, Marina and Rocko. He believes that these penguins have raised him from childhood; however, they do not exist. One day when Nick calls him a "fatass POS", Timbox snaps and says he will tell his penguin parents, who have raised him ever since Billy and Scott were born, and his parents abandoned him for his non-retarded siblings. Marina told him to shut the fuck up, as she was reading the new double sized Penguin Playgirl. This was the last straw. Timothy went insane. He willed a horde of imaginary raptors on the world. However, caught up in his own delusions, Timothy did not eat for several days, as he played out an entire 25 part epic film involving Mandark and a nicer, realer, penguin family. This led to his death by starvation, and Nick Hobbs's elation. This film was based off a true story, and many in the medical community consider Timothy to be a man unparalleled in his insanity, a movie villain so insane that not even Hitler can surpass him.

Paprika (パプリカ, Papurika?) is a Japanese animated science fiction film, based on Yasutaka Tsutsui's 1993 novel Paprika, about a female research psychologist involved in a project to develop a device that will permit therapists to help patients by entering their dreams.

The film was directed by Satoshi Kon, animated by Madhouse Studios and produced and distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment. The music was composed by Susumu Hirasawa, who also composed the soundtrack for Kon's award-winning film, Millennium Actress, and equally lauded television series, Paranoia Agent.

Its world premiere took place at the 63rd Venice International Film Festival on September 2, 2006. It also competed at the 19th Tokyo International Film Festival from October 21—29, 2006 as the opening screening for the 2006 TIFF Animation CG Festival. It was also shown at the 2007 National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC, as the closing film of the Anime Marathon at the Freer Gallery of the Smithsonian, and at the 2007 Greater Philadelphia Cherry Blossom Festival. It was also a part of the 44th New York Film Festival, playing on October 7, 2006. Furthermore, it played at the Sarasota Film Festival on April 21, 2007, in Sarasota, Florida. Additionally it was shown at the 39th International Film Festival in Auckland, New Zealand on July 22, 2007 and will be shown as the festival travels around New Zealand. It saw theatrical releases on November 25, 2006 in Japan and May 25 2007 in the United States.

The Pagemaster

The Pagemaster is a live action/animated film released by 20th Century Fox on November 23, 1994 and based on the illustrated book of the same name by David Kirschner and Ernie Contreras and illustrated by Jerry Tiritilli. It was directed by Joe Johnston (live action) and Maurice Hunt (animation).

Plot

Timid Richard Tyler (Macaulay Culkin) is initally afraid of everything in existence and runs his life based on statistics. His exasperated father, Alan (Ed Begley Jr.), is building a treehouse for him but an accident involving a bucket of nails prompts Alan to send his son off to get him a bag of nails, in an attempt to help overcome his fears. Richard regrettably sets off, but he gets caught in a thunderstorm and finds shelter in a seemingly abandoned library. He meets Mr. Dewey (Christopher Lloyd), an overly eager librarian who briefly terrorizes Richard with claims of him wanting a book. Richard wanders off to find a payphone (much to Mr. Dewey's sadness) and comes across a giant rotunda with paintings on it. Richard slips on the wet floor, knocking himself unconscious. He awakes to find the library in darkness and a giant ocean of paint from the rotunda chasing him, transforming him into an illustration.

Richard is greeted by the Pagemaster (also voiced by Christopher Lloyd) who sends him on a journey into the library's fiction section to locate the library's EXIT. Richard meets a trio of animated books who are servants of the Pagemaster. He first meets Adventure, a swashbuckling pirate book (Patrick Stewart) who helps him overcome his fear of heights; Fantasy, a hotheaded but caring fairy tale book (Whoopi Goldberg); and Horror, a lonely fearful "hunchbook" (Frank Welker). The trio agree to help him find the Exit in return for him checking them out with his new library card.

The quartet travel through the expanded sections of the fiction section. They encounter Dr. Jekyll who becomes Mr. Hyde (both are voiced by Leonard Nimoy), but the madman falls through a floor. The group escape and find a rowboat, taking it out into the ocean to find the Exit, but run into Captain Ahab fighting the whale Moby Dick but they are caught in the fight. Richard and Adventure are saved by a group of pirates, led by Long John Silver. The pirates go to Treasure Island but a mutiny breaks out against Silver. Richard and Adventure are saved by the timely arrival of Fantasy and Horror, Silver departing alone. Horror wanders off and is saved by Adventure from an army of small people.

The group finally find the exit but are attacked by a giant dragon which swallows Richard. Richard escapes using a giant beanstalk. The group arrive at the exit where they find the Pagemaster waiting for them. Richard discovers the entire adventure was for him to overcome his fears and happily sends him and the books back to the real world. Richard awakens to find him back to normal with his friends as normal books. Mr. Dewey allows him to check the three books out. Richard's parents later arrive home to find their son asleep in the treehouse with the books, Richard finally brave. The film ends with silhouettes of Adventure, Fantasy and Horror talking, Adventure accidentally kissing Horror off-screen.

Son of the Mask is the Raspberry Award-Winning 2005 sequel to the 1994 comedy film, The Mask, directed by Lawrence Guterman. The movie had a $84 million budget and a $17 million domestic box office gross, along with a $40 million foreign box office gross.

Plot

Ten years after the adventures of Stanley Ipkiss in Edge City, Tim Avery (Jamie Kennedy), an aspiring cartoonist, is feeling reluctant to become a father when he has to take care of a baby with amazing abilities. The baby possesses strange and terrific shapeshifting powers that he uses to torture his father. The baby was conceived while his father was wearing the Mask of Loki, a mythological object that transforms the wearer into a manic shapeshifter alter-ego (as it did to Ipkiss in the first film). As bad as a baby with godlike powers might seem, there is also the family dog, Otis, who is trying to use the Mask to do away with his competition for Tim's affection. But the really bad news is that Loki (Alan Cumming) wants his mask back, under command by his father Odin (Bob Hoskins).

Loki tries to find the child born of the mask, since if he finds the child, he will find the mask. Eventually, Loki finds the baby, and fights them. This results in Odin taking away Loki's powers, since Odin doesn't know the baby was right in his arms, since he was possessing Avery at the time.

Loki summons Odin, and convinces him to give him his powers back for an hour, to get his mask back. He threatens Avery into showing up with the mask or else he will never see his son again(because he will keep him and eventually plays Twister with him). Eventually, it ends in a brawl between Loki and Avery donning the mask (actually for the second time, he had donned the mask earlier in the film, when he was going to a costume party), turning into a wild character similar to the one in the first film. After a crazy fight between the god and the "superhuman", Loki figures they are evenly matched opponents, and believes that they should let the baby decide who he wants to be with. He chooses Avery after the latter delivers a tearful apology to his son for not paying attention to him. But Loki, not prepared to give up so easily (knowing the price he will have to pay if he fails in his mission) grabs a giant hammer and chases Avery, his wife, and the baby. As he is about to attack them, Avery suddenly protects his wife and the baby from the hammer with super strength (probably side effects from wearing the mask). However, drills popped up under the hammer and was slowly drilling towards Tim. Just when it looks like Loki is about to finally crush them, his time finally runs out Odin comes back, and attacks him for failing at his mission, even going so far as to say that he is "in every sense of the word, a failure". As he is about to banish Loki again, Avery stands up to the powerful god, telling him that Loki is his son, and that the most important thing in the universe is the relationship with your family. Avery then gives the mask to Loki who presents it to his father, then Loki and Odin (now reconciled) return to (supposedly) Asgard happily. Tim comes up with a great idea for a cartoon: A baby and a dog competing for Dad's attention. Also, at the end of the movie, Tonya reveals she's pregnant again. Much to the baby's delight, he winks at the camera, revealing that the family's masked adventure wasn't over...

Legend is a 1985 fantasy film released by 20th Century Fox (in Europe) and Universal Pictures (in the U.S. and Canada), directed by Ridley Scott and starring Tom Cruise, Mia Sara, Tim Curry, Alice Playten, and Billy Barty. Though not a very notable success when first released, it has since gained a cult following.

Plot

Note: The following plot is based on the U.S. theatrical release which differs in places from the Director's Cut available on the Ultimate Edition DVD.

The story is set "once, long ago" in a world of unicorns, fairies, goblins and demons.

Hidden in a dark lair, the antagonist, the Lord of Darkness (Tim Curry) instructs his goblin servant Blix (Alice Playten) to locate the two unicorns that roam in the nearby forest and remove their horns. If the unicorns die and their horns are removed, the Lord of Darkness can ensure that dawn never again breaks, and sunshine (his "destroyer") never returns.

In the forest, Jack O' The Green (Tom Cruise), a young hermit,[1] meets with his love, Princess Lily (Mia Sara). As one of few forest dwellers allowed to locate the unicorns, Jack takes Lily to see the creatures, while followed by Blix and his two cohorts Pox and Blunder. The unicorns appear, and Lily ignores Jack's pleas to not touch them. As Lily approaches the unicorns, the goblins attack. The unicorns are hunted until the unharmed one is captured and the injured one has its horn removed by Blix.

Unaware of the full implications of the first unicorn's death, Jack chastises Lily for ignoring his warnings. Lily throws her ring into a nearby pond and claims that whomever recovers the ring shall be her suitor. The unicorn's death causes a fierce snowstorm, the pond freezes and Jack is unable to locate the ring. During the storm, Lily hides in a cottage owned by Nell, a woodland dweller, but finds that Nell and her family have frozen as part of the curse brought on by the taking of the unicorn's horn. Lily hides in time to avoid arriving goblins, and overhears clues that explains the cause of the disaster. As the goblins ride off, Lily swears to undo her mistake.

Meanwhile, Jack meets Oona, Honeythorn Gump, Browntop, and Screwball (a fairy, an elf, and two dwarves). The group leaves Browntop with the female unicorn to find weapons for Jack. Lily arrives at Browntop and tries to help him, but they are discovered by the goblins. After a skirmish, Lily and the surviving unicorn are taken to the Lord of Darkness. Jack, who has been fitted with armor and a sword is happy to learn that Lily is still alive. The comrades overcome many obstacles to reach the Lord of Darkness' lair, where they witness the evil Lord trying to seduce Lily with his charm and power. Lily seems to be able to resist the seductions and grows frustrated, but when Lily suddenly asks for the privilege of killing the surviving unicorn, the Lord of Darkness laughs because the irony of her request is a triumph for him.

Jack and his friends discover that sunlight will destroy the Lord and gather large metal dishes to use as reflective shields, positioned around the castle in an effort to channel sunlight into the lair. The Lord brings Lily to the unicorn, and Jack's friends encourage Jack to shoot Lily with an arrow to prevent the animal's death. Jack ignores their pleas, trusting his love. Lily cuts the unicorn free instead and is knocked out by the angered Lord of Darkness. Jack appears and confronts the Lord, but he is undersized and outmatched. As defeat looms, the last shield is set in place and sunlight strikes the Lord, causing his destruction.

Jack tries to revive Lily, but Gump says she is under a spell. To break it, Jack takes Lily back to the forest, where he dives into the newly restored pond and recovers the ring. Meanwhile, Gump takes the male unicorn's horn back to where his body lies in the forest. As Jack slips the ring onto Lily's finger, Gump returns the male unicorn's horn. With the female unicorn watching in concern, the male unicorn is revived. Lily awakens and shares a kiss with Jack. As Jack and Lily run off, Gump, Oona, the two unicorns, and the rest of the group wave to them.

The Company of Wolves

The Company of Wolves is a 1984 gothic fantasy-horror film directed by Neil Jordan, and starring Sarah Patterson and Angela Lansbury.

The film is based on the werewolf stories in Angela Carter's short story collection The Bloody Chamber ("The Company of Wolves", "Wolf-Alice" and "The Werewolf"). Carter herself co-wrote the screenplay with director Neil Jordan, based on her own short stories and also her earlier adaptation of "The Company of Wolves" for radio.

Carter's first draft of the screenplay, which contains some differences from the finished film, has been published in her anthology The Curious Room (1996).

Unlike many films with a lycanthropy theme, The Company of Wolves is noteworthy for its close adherence to traditional werewolf folklore, rich symbolism and a strikingly-crafted, haunting fantasy setting. Also noteworthy are the absence of a straightforward plot and the ambiguous border between dream and reality. For this reason - a mix of imagination and reality, and legends within legends - the film has been both criticized and lauded. Its frequently quoted sexuality and puberty themes are omnipresent but subtle, and it can be viewed as a werewolf fantasy-horror film without overt sexual components.

The film begins in the modern day. A young girl (Sarah Patterson) is dreaming.

In her dreams she lives in the middle of a dangerous, mysterious fairytale forest. The wolves in the forest have just killed her older sister (Georgia Slowe). After her sister's funeral, the girl - named Rosaleen - goes to stay with her Granny (Angela Lansbury). Granny knits Rosaleen a bright red shawl and as she does so, she also tells her a tale in order to warn her about werewolves.

In her tale, a young groom (Stephen Rea) is about to bed his new bride (Kathryn Pogson) when a 'call of nature' summons him outside. He completely disappears and his bride is terrified to see wolves howling outside. A search the following day yields a wolf paw print only. Years later, she remarries and has children, only to have her original husband finally return. Angered at her having had children with a new husband, the groom transforms into his werewolf form, but is slain when the new husband (Jim Carter) returns.

The next day, Rosaleen returns to her parents' village, where she encounters a young, amorous boy (Shane Johnstone) who clearly desires her. That night, Rosaleen wakes and happens to see her parents having sex. The next day, she questions her mother (Tusse Silberg) about the nature of sex. The amorous boy flirts with her again in the morning.

The Monster Squad

The Monster Squad is a comedy/horror film written by Shane Black and Fred Dekker and directed by Fred Dekker (who also wrote/directed Night of the Creeps). It was released by Tri-Star Pictures on August 14, 1987. The film features the classic monsters, led by Dracula (Duncan Regehr) and including Frankenstein's monster (Tom Noonan), The Wolf Man (Carl Thibault), The Mummy (Michael Reid MacKay), and the Gill-man (Tom Woodruff Jr). The movie co-starred Brent Chalem, Jack Gwillam, Michael Faustino, Jason Hervey, Robby Kiger, and Ryan Lambert.

Plot

The Monster Squad is a society of young teenagers who idolize classic monsters and monster movies. In addition to a clubhouse in a tree, they actually have their own business cards. Club leader Sean (Andre Gower), whose younger sister desperately wants to join the club, is given the diary of legendary vampire hunter Abraham Van Helsing (Jack Gwillam). Sean, his best friend Patrick (Robby Kiger), and the rest of the Monster Squad get their local "Scary German Guy" (Leonardo Cimino) to translate the diary from German to English. (When he is asked how he knows so much, he tells them cryptically that he has "some experience with monsters." When the children leave his home and he closes the front door, the concentration-camp tattoo is revealed on his forearm.)

The diary describes, in great detail, an amulet that is composed of concentrated good. One day out of every century, as the forces of good and evil reach a balance, the otherwise-indestructible amulet becomes vulnerable to destruction. The next day of balance falls within a couple days, at the stroke of midnight.

The kids realize they must gain possession of the amulet before the day of balance arrives; once they have the amulet, the kids can use that--with an incantation from Van Helsing's diary--to open a hole in the universe and cast the monsters into Limbo. Dracula's monsters, meanwhile, must obtain the amulet before the Monster Squad does...so that the Count can take control of the world.

The amulet turns out to be buried in a stone room, under a house that Dracula and the other monsters occupy. The aforementioned room is littered with holy symbols, including crucifixes, which prevents the monsters from simply taking it.

So does the Monster Squad prepare to save civilization from becoming one big Transylvania...or meet a fate worse than death trying. Luckily, they have the assistance of Patrick's lovely-but-nameless elder sister (Lisa Fuller)...because the incantation must be read by a virgin, and she's the only person they know who speaks German. Sadly she is failing German, and not technically a virgin, "Well, Steve is but he doesn't count." Additional help comes from a single good monster: Frankenstein's Creature, who defects after befriending Sean's kid sister Phoebe (Ashley Bank), who ultimately is the virgin needed to read the incantation; with the assistance of "Scary German Guy".

Availability

A 20th Anniversary Reunion of The Monster Squad was held with cast members and Director Fred Dekker in attendance in February 2007. Previously, Dekker had urged any interested fans to write the copyright holders via snail-mail.

The Monster Squad two-disc 20th anniversary special edition DVD was released by Lionsgate on July 24, 2007, and contains a wide range of special features including a 5-part retrospective documentary, 2 audio commentaries, deleted scenes, the theatrical trailer, a tv spot, animated storyboards, and more. Since the release date of the DVD it has remained on the Amazon.com top seller list as of October 7, 2007. A soundtrack album is available from the Intrada label.

Lady in White is a 1988 film of the ghost/mystery genre. Much of the film was made in and about Wayne County, New York, taking advantage of appropriate local color.

The film was produced and written by Frank LaLoggia, a native of nearby Rochester, NY. Starring were Lukas Haas, Alex Rocco, and Katherine Helmond.

Plot

Synopsis: A young boy is locked in his school's cloak room on Halloween night by some school bullies. While he waits to be let out, he witnesses a ghostly murder, and is nearly killed himself when the murderer returns for something he left behind. The boy then befriends the ghost of the young girl he saw killed, and works to figure out who killed her before they can kill again, and to bring some solace to the mysterious lady in white who roams the town he lives in.

Snow White is a 1987 film based on the classic fairytale and released as part of the "Cannon Movie Tales" series. Diana Rigg stars as the Wicked Queen.

The film was released straight to video. In 2005 it was released on Region 1 DVD by MGM.

Plot

Afer her jealous stepmother, the Queen (Diana Rigg), tries to have her killed, Snow White (Sarah Patterson) runs away into the forest, where she finds refuge with seven kindly dwarves. The years pass but when the Queen discovers Snow White is still alive, she attempts to destroy her rival with the help of clever disguises. The Queen uses a tight bodice, a poison comb, and finally a poison apple in her attempts to kill Snow White. After tasting the poisoned apple, Snow White lies in a state of sleep until she is later woken by a handsome Prince. Some time later, the Queen receives an invitation to the Prince's wedding. As the Queen arrives, she finds none other than Snow White walking down the aisle as the bride.

Snow White: Fairest of them all

Snow White, released in the U.S. as Snow White: The Fairest of Them All, was a television film, made in 2001, and based on the Snow White storyline. It was made by Hallmark and directed by Caroline Thompson. It deviates in several places from the original Brothers Grimm story and adds significant new characters and subplots. It also includes story elements from Hans Christian Anderson's The Snow Queen. While often hailed as a much darker version of the original Grimm fairy tale, it includes some playful, humorous elements, and is not necessarily more faithful to the original than other popular film adaptations.

Plot

Born from a drop of blood in a flutter of apple blossoms, and framed in ebony, a young girl named Snow White (Kristin Kreuk) becomes the blessing of a loving peasant couple, John (Tom Irwin) and Josephine (Vera Farmiga). But with her birth comes a curse and the end of her mother's life. Left alone with an infant daughter, John braves a brutal winter in search for food for his starving angel. Salvation comes unexpectedly when the father's tears melt the frozen tomb of a bewitched creature, the Granter of Wishes (Clancy Brown). In thanks, the insinuating beast grants John three wishes: nourishment for Snow White, a kingdom in which to raise a family and a queen by his side, (originally he wanted his wife back, his "queen", but the Green-Eyed Granter of Wishes cannot raise the dead, but he can give him a queen, followed shortly by His idea to give John a kingdom.) But John's cause for celebration is short lived.

For the Granter of Wishes has devious plans for the well being of his own family. Owing his loathsome spellcasting sister, Elspeth (Miranda Richardson), a long awaited wish, he encourages her desires for appointment to the throne. A kingdom to rule is hers for the waiting, the new King John is hers for the belittling and a luscious little stepdaughter named Snow White, is hers to toy with and destroy at will.

Sixteen years later, Snow White (Kristen Kreuk) grows in grace and beauty. At this time Prince Alfred is visiting their kingdom. He sees Snow White and falls in love. This causes him to spend most of his visit trying to spend time with Snow White. She, however, pushes him away every time. In the mean time, Elspeth, who grows more and more vain each day, will consult her magic mirror. Different from other versions, the mirror in this tale actually comes to life with the figure and the voice of the one who is the fairest one of all (until now Elspeth).

Desiring a new, younger husband and to get rid of the princess, the Queen tries to put Prince Alfred under a spell to fall ih love with her. She fails at this, and even the King begins to realize Elspeth's darkness.

Finally, on the day of the banquet celebrated in honor of Prince Alfred, the mirror answers the queen with Snow White's voice and figure, "I am, I am, I am the fairest of them all!" The Queen falls to the floor in a fit of panic, anger and rage. One of her servants called Hector comes to her and offers himself to do whatever she asks (he fell under the spell by mistake instead of the Prince). "Anything?" replies the Queen with a look of vengeance.

The Prince searches for Snow White and finds her walking in the gardens and declares his love for her. Snow White at first shows unsympathetic but after seeing that he is sincere and true answers him with a kiss.

Hector arrives with orders from the Queen to kill Snow White, and with lies he draws her away from the prince and to the rabbit traps (because Hector says that the Queen wants stewed rabbit for breakfast). While Snow White kneels to free the rabbits, Hector raises his knife but changes in the last minute (a tear rolling down his cheek) realizing that he cannot take Snow White's life. "She wants your heart. She'll have your heart. Run, beautiful girl! Run!" cries Hector to Snow White, who heads into the dark, starless forest running for her life.

The Queen takes advantage that Prince Alfred is alone and tries to seduce him, but he runs away and she transforms him into a bear.

In order to trick Snow White into eating the poisonous apple, the Queen magically disguises herself in a way that resembles Snow White's deceased mum and eventually makes her fall asleep. Back at the palace, the mirror once again shows Elspeth saying "You are, You are, You are the fairest of them all!" but when The Queen tries to turn herself back into her beautiful form she instead became once again the ugly old hag she used to be before her brother turned her into a queen. The Granter of Wishes returns and she hopes he's gonna make her beautiful again but he says that because of what her vanity led her to do she cannot have her beauty restored again. He also explains that Snow White only was a threat because Elspeth saw her as such.

Eventually the Prince finds Snow White and wakes her up with a kiss and they lived happily ever after.

The Swan Princess 3

The Swan Princess III: The Mystery of the Enchanted Kingdom is the second sequel to the animated film The Swan Princess. It was released in 1998, directed by Richard Rich, and features the voices of Michelle Nicastro and Brian Nissen as the leading couple of Odette and Derek. This film is alternately titled The Swan Princess: The Mystery of the Enchanted Treasure in UK and European releases. This sequel features the returning voices of Michelle Nicastro and Steve Vinovich from the first film. All the other characters have been re-cast with new voice actors.

Plot

Derek and Odette's kingdom is preparing a celebratory Festival Days event. Unknown to them, an evil witch named Zelda, who was once a consort to Rothbart, plans to wreak havoc to their kingdom by stealing the Forbidden Arts. As part of her plan, she captures a Yakey-bird named Whizzer who has the ability to imitate any voice after hearing it only once. Threatening his life, she sends Whizzer to the castle at Swan Lake as a spy. There, Whizzer overhears that Derek did not destroy Rothbart's notes on the Forbidden Arts. Once this information is passed back to Zelda, she goes to the castle dressed as an "accordion slave".

Zelda charms over Lord Rogers, who falls for her with humorous results. Queen Uberta, who wants Rogers to be her dance partner in the Festival Days talent show, is annoyed with Zelda to the point of almost being jealous. Zelda is allowed to stay in the castle, and that night Whizzer steals Rogers' keys so that Zelda can steal the treasure chest with Rothbart's notes. With the notes in her possession, Zelda leaves the castle.

Zelda has obtained the power to create and change, but to her dismay, the last corner has been torn off the last note, preventing her from gaining the power to destroy. She learns from Whizzer that Derek has that corner. She commands to Whizzer to send Derek a ransom note, while she uses her newfound powers to create a seeker fireball to capture Odette and bring her back. The seeker successfully brings Odette (even Jean-Bob as stowaway) to Zelda's lair, and Zelda ties her to a rock. When Odette attempts to escape, Zelda retaliates by transforming Odette into a swan and imprisons her and Jean-Bob in a ball of green fire.

Derek receives the ransom note, so he retrieves the missing Forbidden Arts note from a book in the library of his mother's castle.

Meanwhile, Puffin crosses paths with Whizzer and a chase ensues between the animals. Speed and Puffin convince Whizzer to help them by telling him that there's no need to be afraid to do the right thing. Whizzer eventually agrees, and the gang head out to help Derek rescue Odette. By the time they are reunited with Derek, Zelda has obtained the last note and gains the power to destroy.

A battle ensues, during which Zelda conjures up a destroying seeker fireball to destroy Odette. Odette flies away from the lair in a frantic attempt to escape the seeker.

Willing to make amends for helping Zelda do her dastardly deeds, Whizzer distracts her by imitating Rothbart's voice, allowing Derek to snap Zelda's wand in two, and she falls back on her fireball she had imprisoned Odette and Jean-Bob in, and is destroyed. Sadly, Puffin arrives to inform Derek that Odette is dead. Derek destroys the Forbidden Arts notes by setting them on fire. The flames take on the shape of a swan, and Odette materializes, having come back to life.

During the talent show, Uberta and Roger's version of the tango ends in disaster as they both go right through the stage. Despite that, Uberta wins first prize. Derek and Odette watch from nearby, and Odette asks Derek to promise her that there is no more magic in the castle. Derek tells her "As long as you're here, Odette, there will always be magic".

The Swan Princess 2

The Swan Princess II: Escape from Castle Mountain (alternately titled The Swan Princess II, The Swan Princess: Escape from Castle Mountain and The Swan Princess: The Secret of the Castle) is the first sequel to the animated film The Swan Princess. It was directed by Richard Rich and released in 1997.

This sequel features recycled footage from the previous film, most notably in the flashbacks during "The Magic of Love" sequence. Musically the film also samples the soundtrack of the previous film, such as during the scene where Clavius is changing Queen Uberta into various animals, the instrumental of "Practice, Practice, Practice" can be heard.

Plot

It has been a year since the events of The Swan Princess, but Derek and Odette's anniversary is interrupted by the dangerous vandalism of Knuckles, a minion of the wizard Clavius. Clavius, who was Rothbart's partner, wants to claim the orb of Forbidden Arts which is located somewhere in Swan Lake castle, which has become the new home of Derek and Odette.

Clavius abducts Derek's mother, Queen Uberta, to use her as leverage. When Derek sets out to rescue his mother, Clavius sneaks into Swan Lake castle where he locks Odette in a tower and then goes after the orb himself. Bridget, who was once Rothbart's accomplice but has joined the side of good, recognizes Clavius and knows that he is after the Forbidden Arts. She takes Speed, Puffin, and Jean-Bob (whom throutout the movie is tired of hearing Puffin repeating "no fear" over and over) into the catacombs under the castle where they find the orb first. After claiming the orb, they race back upstairs and free Odette.

Odette knows now that Derek is heading into a trap, but Puffin cannot fly because of an accident earlier on in the movie, so she convinces Bridget to use the orb to change her into a swan. Once transformed, Odette flies off to warn Derek. Clavius stumbles upon the remaining group and a chase ensues throughout the castle. Clavius eventually obtains the orb, and locks Bridget and the animals in the watery dungeon.

Elsewhere, Odette reaches Derek just in time to save him from sinking to his death in a pit of quicksand. Racing back to the palace, they see Clavius escaping in his hot-air balloon, from which Speed, Puffin and Jean-Bob are secretly clinging to in the hopes of being able to regain the orb. Derek and Odette follow the balloon to Clavius' volcano lair but Knuckles try to stop them. After a big fight Knucles is soon cuased to fall into the lava pool beneath the volcano.

Clavius celebrates having the Forbidden Arts again, but is cut short when Derek arrives and the animals free Uberta from her prison. During the fight, Jean-Bob jumps on Clavius' head to stop him from delivering a killing blow to Derek, but Jean-Bob is killed in the act. Derek finally gets his hands on the orb, and the gang rushes to escape in Clavius' balloon. Clavius tries to stop them, and during the struggle the orb is dropped, which shatters on the floor and causes a massive explosion which presumably kills Clavius.

Later, everyone is at Swan Lake, waiting for the moon to rise on Odette, who is waiting on the surface with Jean-Bob on her wing. When the moonlight touches Odette, she is transformed back to her human form and Jean-Bob comes back to life. The gang celebrate their victory and Uberta's birthday.

The Wind in the Willows is a 1983 79-minute film by the studio Cosgrove Hall for Thames Television and aired on the ITV network. The movie is based on Kenneth Grahame's classic story The Wind in the Willows. It won a BAFTA award and an international Emmy award. Subsequently the studio made a 52 episodes series, The Wind in the Willows based on characters from the Wind in the Willows between 1984 and 1990. Stone Roses guitarist John Squire worked on this series for Cosgrove Hall. Voice actors on this adaptation included David Jason, Ian Carmichael and Michael Hordern.

The Witches is a 1990 film based on the book of the same name by British author, Roald Dahl.
Plot

Witches are a well-connected organization with, as a goal, the elimination of as many children as possible, ideally all of them. No motive is given, other than malice. Tired of the witches' habit of concocting elaborate schemes resulting in the removal of one child a week, the Grand High Witch (alias Eva Ernst) comes up with a new plan: to buy up sweet shops across England and give away free chocolate treated with a magic potion called "Formula 86" which will turn the children into mice exactly two hours from ingestion. However, more than five doses can cause instant transformation.

Unfortunately for her, an old Norwegian witch expert named Helga and her grandson Luke are staying at the hotel where the congregation of witches at which she makes the announcement takes place, which is cleverly disguised as a "Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children" convention. By chance, Luke also happens to be hiding in the convention hall—where he is training his two white mice—at the time, and having received a thorough education about witches from his grandmother, he quickly realizes the truth. The doors are locked before Luke can escape the room. The witches unveil their true selves: removing wigs to reveal bald scalps; their gloves to reveal long, sharp claws; and shoes to reveal feet having square ends and hideous stumps where the toes should be. The Grand High Witch has a hideous face under her mask—revolting wrinkles, a long pointed nose, and fingers the size of pencils. She is also a hunchback.

The Grand High Witch turns a greedy and obese boy, Bruno Jenkins (lured there by the promise of six chocolate bars), into an anthropomorphic mouse as a demonstration of the method. The witches sniff out Luke, who manages to escape. He manages to get to his hotel room, but is captured by the Grand High Witch herself. She then pours an entire bottle of Formula 86—all 500 doses of it—down Luke's throat, resulting in another mouse with a human mind. Bruno and Luke meet in a vent.

Luke and Bruno manage to reach Helga's room safely, (although part of Bruno's tail is cut off) and Luke manages to steal a bottle of the potion and use it against the witches by adding it to the soup reserved for the witches themselves. One of the hotel cooks is actually a witch, as proven by her purple eyes. She tastes the soup after the soup has been mixed with the formula, and turns into a mouse herself. She tries to warn the other witches of this, but is crushed and killed by them when they see her. A short time later they all start turning into mice.

Initially, panic ensues when mice suddenly appear in the dining room, but soon both hotel staff and guests are attacking and killing the rodents—unknowingly ridding England of its witches. The Grand High Witch herself is finally destroyed when Mr. Stringer, the hotel manager, chops her in two with a meat cleaver. One good witch, Miss Irvine, the Grand High Witch's former put-upon assistant, comes to Luke and Helga's house that night and uses her magic to restore him to human form, as well as returning his previously lost white mice. Seeing Miss Irvine outside, Luke shouts a reminder to her to also turn Bruno back into a human, to which Miss Irvine gives a reassuring smile before driving away. Her good deed also appears to change her fingers from clawed to human. With England's children now safe from the threat of witches, Luke and Helga begin making plans to return to the United States to destroy the witches there.
